 Bump for 2025! Let’s do it!0

Being an Atlanta PJ fan is a lot like being a fan of a sports team. "Well......maybe next year is our year."We are the facilitators of our own creative evolution.--Bill Hicks0

Try living in the KY/WV area. We never, ever get shows. PJs played Lexington maybe twice, ever....I can only think of their recent Bourbon & Beyond set as the only time they've ever played Louisville.
They've never played in WV and only played Cincy/Cbus a handful of times over the last 20 years.
If you look at their tour history they've played more shows in just the state of Florida (a big but not major state) than they have within a reasonable travel time from me, my entire life.Cincinnati 06'
 Lollapalooza 07'
 Bonnaroo 08'
 Columbus 10'
 Noblesville 10'

 Music Midtown 12'

No, I'm aware I got spoiled with Atlanta shows. I mean I've had to travel for shows for the past 12 years with the longest being just 4 hours away (Charlotte 13) so I'm well aware of how fortunate we've had it. It's just Atlanta always had some great and even historic shows and then fell off after the 2003 tour (save for 2012 Music Midtown) so it's always disappointing when it gets passed over again. For this tour, the closest to me is 10 hours away so that sucks because I know I'm not going to be able to swing that. It even would've been nice to have a Nashville show even though that's a drive. So.....until next year.We are the facilitators of our own creative evolution.--Bill Hicks0

Yeah I had given concerts a break for the last 5 years due to insane ticket prices and my life going in a different direction but I was ready to get back into it. Already have Bourbon & Beyond tickets purchased for this year and was planning to try and hit at least 2 PJ shows...Indy is roughly 4-5 hours from me so I MIGHT still try that....I might consider Wrigley but I'm probably just not going to see them.
Those tour dates do have a ton of gaps so maybe they're going to add shows. This initial date list is pretty minimal for a major band, promoting a new album so maybe this is just phase 1.
I love Atlanta. I was just there in October for work. Music Midtown is probably the best orchestrated, best laid out and best festival I've ever attended. I only attended once, but we really liked it and thought it was very well done. Especially compared to Lolla, Roo, Forecastle, and some of the fests we've attended.Cincinnati 06'

Was hoping for the hometown show. Just seems weird, Atlanta is a huge area, population wise. Oh well.
Probably going to try for Philly.0

I haven't been to a show since Greenville 2016, which I've said on quite a few occasions if that's how I leave this live PJ journey (the Vs. Show), I'd be okay with that. I'd rather it not be the end, but I have zero control over that and I'm trying to be more mindful to not get upset over those kind of things. Still disappointing nonetheless.BMo-643 said:Yeah I had given concerts a break for the last 5 years due to insane ticket prices and my life going in a different direction but I was ready to get back into it. Yeah, Nashville was great. Tacked St. Louis onto it as well.JojoRice said:Lot of us Georgian's made the trek to Nashville in 22'.
Did one Fort Worth last September.
Will try for a couple of these East Coast shows and drive it probably. My airplane debacle from the Fort Worth show is still a recent memory!0

Ouch! I originally planned to do St Louis as well but the new date after covid didn't work for me. I did do the St Paul shows last year though. Aiming for Seattle & Wrigley this year. Thank goodness for Skymiles!CarryTheZero said:

Yeah, I did not get any 10C tickets, but scored face value for Philly both nights through verified.
Interpol and Kurt Vile should be good!
Taking the kids to Sleater-Kinney tomorrow at the Eastern, the wife to Postal Service/DCFC at Ameris, and hitting up Neil Young and Crazy Horse there as well.0

Nice...........Sleater Kinney sounds fun. My wife said Neil Young was her least favorite concert she's been to, so that one is out unless I go solo.CarryTheZero said:Yeah, I did not get any 10C tickets, but scored face value for Philly both nights through verified.
