    These Missoulan American kids that went to the pool yesterday with red spots all over their body. Because of the measles outbreak I asked them if it was measles or chickenpox. They said it was chickenpox. I talked to the lifeguard teenagers and front desk staff about how communicable disease are prohibited and didn't they notice red welts all over kids? My training when I've volunteered with the YMCA included looking out for children and reporting health issues.

    The staff didn't catch on the first hour (before we arrived).  That day, there were lifeguards being trained, too! The Americans were on their way out when I pointed this lack of insight out. Maybe at the end of their infections they weren't as infectious? (Cross fingers.)

    Glad I caught this disease as a kid and not last month! There was one Chinese family at my school back then. My sister came home with some chopsticks for me and a note that said "I love you".
