Have been to Xmas village a couple times this year, including this last Saturday which was a terrible decision. They do a good job these days.F Me In The Brain said:I miss having a kegorator. Don't drink enough beer to have one, now.
Went to the Christmas Village this evening with the family. Not nearly as crowded as when we go on weekends, much better. Always like that spot.
Was going to go to the one in FDR Park this year but they rip you all around for pricing. Anyone checked that place out?
Heard good things about FDR Tinseltown but the cost is ridiculous.Shadybrook is our spot for light shows and such0 -

Yeah, we were set to go until we pulled up the pricing for FDR. We just did an Eagles ticketholder event at Penns Landing and everything was free. The idea of paying a shitton for much of the same stuff as those other two places didn't add up. (But, it does look like good family fun.)
Haven't checked Shadybrook - will look that up.
Yeah, Wob, it is mostly for the kid, although we enjoy it also. The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
I love the winterfest at Penns landing. We have a tradition of skating and hanging out there every Black Friday (or Saturday) and usually go back once or twice over the winter. Having our daughter’s bday in February there though.F Me In The Brain said:

$130 for this one. Feel like most others are closer to $100.Wobbie said:

Yeah the 95 capping and park project. Not sure I realized this was the last year though. Am sure there will be something similar when it’s all done, which will probably be a decade from nowF Me In The Brain said:

Back in the late 90's (god bless 'em) I feel like Natty Light 1/2 kegs (that's probably what you mean by full) were about 60 bucks maybe? Could've been less-- I was hammered back then and don't remember much.Wobbie said:

A sixtel is 1/3 of a half keg or 1/6 of a half keg?Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

A sixth of a full keg.
Here is a handy chart. Honestly, I had no idea what a sixtel was until I got the kegerator and only wanted to have it stocked with quality beer

Damn, that is an assortment. I only knew of a keg and a pony keg.

I just remember the old Yuengling kegs were rounded and had no handles. That would made grabbing the kegs from parties, late, much tougher.
Who knows how many times we carried back a keg with little left to finish at the house and then used the keg for the deposit next time.
College daze

yep….and they’d give you the pumper thing and you’d pray you wouldn’t get 10x foam per actual beer.F Me In The Brain said:That would made grabbing the kegs from parties, late, much tougher.
