    That sucks :(  Its weird how often they'll let most things under $100 slide through even though the limit is $40, but other times they get really rigid with the rules.

    I was hoping when NAFTA got renegotiated a few years ago they'd do a bigger increase than $20 to $40.   The other way around, I think American can do something like $800.

    The lady that works at the post office where I am said that customs is going to start charging fees on anything over $100 now. Said they have always been a little lazy in the past doing this, but it’s going to be a lot more normal seeing customs fees now. That sucks. I got charged $27 for a poster I just bought off someone here on the board, which I wasn’t expecting.

    I think this is one case where I wish former President Trump had pushed harder for a higher limit during the NAFTA renegotiations.  I suppose his antics got us from 20 to 40, but given how many things aren't available in Canada, it would nice if the limit was substantially higher.

    Yes it would be nice. I had a few items arrive where it was marked over 100 US but never got hit, cause they were shipped by USPS. It UPS touches it, I'll get hit. Hit hard with their insane UPS make beleive fees.
