    I'm also skeptical it has anything to do w/ Hawkins... set lists from 2018 suggest they were trending in this direction long before he passed. 4 of the 7 stadium shows were 30 songs or fewer, and plenty of the European shows earlier in the year maxed out at 27-29 songs / night as well, and I don't think those were festivals. 

    I recall being a little underwhelmed after the 2 Fenway shows that year... IIRC Mike was sick on N2, but based on the 2013-2016 shows, I was definitely expecting longer sets. 

    I'm not complaining by any stretch, those shows were great, but to me they also marked the end of the epic 3 hour 34(+/-) song sets they had spoiled us with for so long.

    They'd jump on stage and jam with PJ. Saw them play with MMJ and jammed some heavy tune together.

    You ever seen them at preservation hall in NOLA? If not, I highly recommend it. It’s awesome seeing them in such an intimate space.

    Whomever it is will have little to no notoriety. They sign up young artists not many are familiar with because they cost less to add to the bill. 

    I'd rather no opening band and push 2hr 45 min. Even if they need a 15 minute intermission and add 4 to 5 slower songs to do it. 

    I'm going to skip the opener unless it's a little heavier/actual rock band.

    I hope that they wont be have a support band, that would mean back to "an evening with pearl jam" shows aka longer shows.

    that being said , i think they will have a support band.

    I would love to see Tigercub live, especially if they are opening for Pearl Jam! ...in Salt Lake City? (a guy can dream)

    A lot of suggestions of Idles here. While that'd be great, I imagine they'll be pretty busy touring their new album everywhere. 

    PJ could do "An Evening With" and just have no support while doing the 2h15 to 2h30 sets as per last year. 

    Would like to see them book an act that will actually push them. Love it when a support band goes out, kills it, and leaves the headliner really having to work some to beat what they've done.

    Have seen it mentioned on MMJ Reddit page that there has been rumours of MMJ opening for PJ in Europe and Australia in 2024
