I feel for ya, J! I just spent two weeks not exercising and resting while eating Halloween candy and felt terrible. I couldn't sleep through the night for many nights in a row and well - was a little bonkers! Rest up and get better soon!

GG- your tart looks great! Thank you for the recipe!!

Happy Thanksgiving, neighbors to the south!

We're having a small group of friends and doing the trad dinner here.  Kind of fun this year as Thanksgiving this year falls on our 19th wedding anniversary.

Also, earlier medical news this week leaves me with huge reasons to be thankful!

  • The problem with going to relatives house for Thanksgiving is the fact that I don't have any leftovers to pig out on for the next few days.
    BUMMER

So I have decided that I am going to make my World Famous lasagna today.
    Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

Kate bought a 19lb turkey for 4 of us 😳 my son took home a good amount but still we just had two too many appetizers! Plus I’m in the middle of a chest flu crap so my appetite is not good at all!

Went to my brother's. He smoked one turkey and deep fried another. They were both great but I think the deep fried one was better tasting.

Here we have both kinds of turkeys, my wife's spinach casserole, my mom's stuffing and sweet potato casserole as well as my other brother's sprouts. I added the canned cranberry sauce after taking the pic--apologies.

Looking forward the leftover sandwich lunch in a little bit.

Love me some devilled eggs. Don't think I've ever had them on Thanksgiving though. That will be instituted next year. Thanks Wob.

It was a little disheartening to learn my wife failed to procure cranberry sauce from the leftovers yesterday. She turned out great though. I put some the sweet potato stuff in it's place. God bless.
