That's what I have, I actually printed a page from a Nikon add, that said " Closest thing to a professional camera" Incase I got asked about it at Alice in Chaines/ Heart Concert.
Got it without an issue.
Good Luck, and don't use auto, flash would be rude.0 -
Taking photos is great, but honestly unless you are within 50 feet of the band it is kind of a waste, (unless you have super zoom, which you shouldn't because of the no professional cameras policy) because all you will see is a stage and a bunch of lights. That being said, if you are lucky enough to be that close, take some great shots.
PS. Thanks for that idea about changing the exposure on my camera, not too sure how to do that, but I will look into it before I head out to bonnaroo

I wish people would chill with the photos. I always bring a camera but NEVER get a picture of the band.. its just a waste of time IMO. For one, its hard to get decent pics at a show, for two, ITS A PEARL JAM SHOW AND IM NOT STILL ENOUGH TO TAKE PHOTOS ANYWAYS
I mean how many pictures of Mike doing a solo behind his head can one person have? and i completely agree with Indian Summer.
Take pics before and after the show
We pay good money to be able to attend these shows, we should at least be able to see/enjoy them.
Leave the cams at home, do it for the little people! *points to self*0 -
you guys can bring your camera and take pictures of me instead....I'm a camera whoreOut of the Blue and Into the Black................Uncle Neil Philly 08 here I come!!!!0

distance is one of the most impacting qualities on the final photo.
another words, if youre closer, you wont need a flash.
( this is when you see all the heads of the people ahead of you illuminated and the stage looks dark  )
nice shots by the way
at the Mars benefit- you look like you were very close. For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside

etiquette = photograph during first 2-3 songs only. I'm sure the band hates being distracted by all of the photos during the show.
BTW I never see any good Cameron shots, show some love!0 -
I don't get how cameras get in the way? Isn't the camera infront of your head while you take the picture? How is that bothering anyone? Is it because people are too short and have to hold the camera up? Well that could be annoying. (Does it sound like I am having a conversation with myself...cause I am.)
Garden Gnomes should not be allowed to bring cameras in."I don't believe in PJ fans but I believe there is something, not too sure what." - Thoughts_Arrive0
