The Ds really have to put country first but the GOP has to make some concessions.

When her name was called, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) cast her vote for “Hakeem Jeffries — versus an insurrectionist.” The latter was a reference to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who was one of Donald Trump’s key allies in his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. Waters’s comments caused a flurry of protest from the Republican side of the chamber.

She's not necessarily wrong. I cannot imagine someone like this being speaker. Politically, it would be beneficial for the dems to officially be able to label all republicans as maga extremists moving forward. But fucking terrible for the future of the country. You can, conceivably, imagine a scenario (it's probably likely at this point, actually) where they do not certify any election that Donald Trump doesn't win.www.myspace.com0

Oh, I get it. Thing is, even if Hakeem became speaker, the same POOTWH wing of the repub party would do everything they could to sabotage any legislation and then tell their voters, who’d believe them, that it’s all the radical, leftist, communist dems’ fault, not realizing that the dems keep their radical left in check. Repubs would run on the black, Muslim man telling us what to do and what to do is “unamerican.” Why give them that? The Juggler said:She's not necessarily wrong. At this point, fuck ‘em and run on the repub inability to govern effectively. The only way this changes is a massive rejection of repubs at the next election, which I’m not sure will happen because you know, “the other.”09/15/1998 & 09/16/1998, Mansfield, MA; 08/29/00 08/30/00, Mansfield, MA; 07/02/03, 07/03/03, Mansfield, MA; 09/28/04, 09/29/04, Boston, MA; 09/22/05, Halifax, NS; 05/24/06, 05/25/06, Boston, MA; 07/22/06, 07/23/06, Gorge, WA; 06/27/2008, Hartford; 06/28/08, 06/30/08, Mansfield; 08/18/2009, O2, London, UK; 10/30/09, 10/31/09, Philadelphia, PA; 05/15/10, Hartford, CT; 05/17/10, Boston, MA; 05/20/10, 05/21/10, NY, NY; 06/22/10, Dublin, IRE; 06/23/10, Northern Ireland; 09/03/11, 09/04/11, Alpine Valley, WI; 09/11/11, 09/12/11, Toronto, Ont; 09/14/11, Ottawa, Ont; 09/15/11, Hamilton, Ont; 07/02/2012, Prague, Czech Republic; 07/04/2012 & 07/05/2012, Berlin, Germany; 07/07/2012, Stockholm, Sweden; 09/30/2012, Missoula, MT; 07/16/2013, London, Ont; 07/19/2013, Chicago, IL; 10/15/2013 & 10/16/2013, Worcester, MA; 10/21/2013 & 10/22/2013, Philadelphia, PA; 10/25/2013, Hartford, CT; 11/29/2013, Portland, OR; 11/30/2013, Spokane, WA; 12/04/2013, Vancouver, BC; 12/06/2013, Seattle, WA; 10/03/2014, St. Louis. 208 Democrats sided with 8 Republicans to vote McCarthy out. 210 Republicans voted against kicking McCarthy out.
100% of Democrats voted to kick McCarthy out. 4% of Republicans voted to kick him out.
I don't know how else to explain this simple math yet everyone here is blaming the Republican party when it was ALL of the Democrat votes that made this happen. This is clearly the fault of the Democrats who sided with someone like Matt Gaetz, whom you all mock, yet your party sided with him. If Democrats didn't want chaos, they wouldn't have sided with 8 Republicans. The math or common sense couldn't be any clearer.

And every comment you make is a fox news/right wing media talking point.JB16057 said:208 Democrats sided with 8 Republicans to vote McCarthy out.
This message board is nothing but an echo chamber for the left. They voted him out cuz he was cuckholded to the brainless extreme wing of your party.Your party can’t get their shit together? Awww, poor babies. Keep crying.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -
