I'm prepared to say 'In Hiding' at Chicago 8/2 is..

The best live version of any song i've ever heard.

For one, it's my favourite song anyway, but after driving to Irvine on monday, and pumping the Vic FLAC, i don't think i've ever felt like that before. The crowd singing the chorus, for me, totally makes that song and it's the best live song i've ever heard.

    the crowd does sound so sweet...tempo is a little faster paced than normal as well...love it.

    I completely agree.....I actually have trouble listening to the rest of the show because In Hiding is so unreal.....repeat...repeat..repeat!!
    Everytime I hear it I have this stupid grin.....crowd outdid itself that night:D

    That's exactly the first thing I thought when the song finished that night. I told my friend this is the best version of In Hiding I've ever heard.

    where can one download flac's for the vic and lolla? i wanted to wait for some of the madness to die down.

    and yeah, that was the highlight of the show and one of the best moments i ever had at a pearl jam concert.

    i was sitting at philly airport getting ready to fly to chicago, i told my friend i wanted to hear in hidding so fucking bad.i got to go to the concert and hear that kick ass song. what a great time.

    I like the song, but was never a huge fan until I listened to that version yesterday. Fuckin' awesome
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    I have to share my appreciation for this song as well. This is one of those that you just can't help to sing to. If it comes on and you're at a stoplight and the person next to you is looking over...you still won't give a sh#$t. In Hiding just pulls you in and you have to sing it loud!

    At least that's what happens to me. :-)

    Is no-one else pissed at Stone for always shortening the outro to In Hiding, it really bugs me, it was perfect with the extended outro.

    I'll be aboslutely honest with you here. As good as the VIC is, at first due to the quality not being 100% since its an audience bootleg, I wasn't giving it the props it deserved. Hoever, after listening to the VIC for 1 week straight, I will now agree with you....

    In Hiding from the VIC is just too good!

    the crowd, yes the crowd, adds a lyric to the song the same way eddie does.
