The beauty of fucking up at work

Stressed out at the moment, which means I'm making more mistakes. I'm usually good at avoiding them.

- Sent 1500 notebooks to be printed with an outdated/incorrect logotype. Noticed and stopped in sort of "in time" but cost us a bit extra to get fixed.
- Made the file for 25 rollups 10 cm to short. Not sure if this was my mistake, or if I was given the wrong size information. haven't dared check. The printer didn't say that it was wrong and printed anyways, which is weird.

My other job:
- Animated a whole scene with a character wearing shoes. When he was suppose to be without them. So have to go back and correct that after it has been colored and comped. Which is a bit of a hassle.

    I hardly ever fuck up at work.

    I did once have a roof collapse on a commercial construction job I was running, but there were extenuating circumstances….

    In Sweden, they'll probably just give you more vacation days. It doesn't work like that for North Americans. :wink:

    When I was student teaching, I apparently was responsible for packing the lunches on the bus for a field trip. Having somehow missed this info, 5 classes of 4th graders had to wait patiently at the science center while a bus went back to the school. Thank goodness it was Greenville, SC. Atlanta traffic would have been a mess!

    I’m a teacher, making mistakes are part of the job, that’s what makes you a better teacher the next day. We’re all human. Go easy on yourselves. Often the kids in my class are scared or worried to get things wrong. Like all kids they want to do well and get things right. Everyday I tell them, if you didn’t make a mistake today, you didn’t learn anything.

    meh. being in accounting, everything is fixable. my idiot boss overpaid our GST by $10 million dollars. did the government cut us a cheque? nope. we had to draw the balance down every month by not paying our current taxes.
