Prime video going to ads. Without ads will be $36/ year.

Years ago they lured everyone in with $80 prime plus free streaming. Now, with annual discount, almost $180. That’s quite an increase. Wondering if it’s still worth it.

my wife watched Daisy & The Six. Loosely based on Fleetwood Mac. "documentary style" show with scenes of the band in their heyday interspersed with interviews with "band members" today. Pretty cool.

If she likes the show tell her to read the book. I read it a few years ago and really loved it.

I don't really mind the occasional ad during a movie I'm streaming. Tubi, for example... it doesn't bug me at all when the ads come on. Mind you, I don't pay anything for that, so this isn't the same thing! I don't think it would bother me enough to pay extra anyway. I already pay quite a bit to not have ads on YouTube. I'm tapped out.

The new Roadhouse movie was awful in my opinion. Can't believe Gyllenhall agreed to that

We started to watch it last night, and I ended  up falling asleep watching it. I asked my wife this morning how was. Her review was less than stellar.

I'm super late to the party but I just started watching The Boys and I really dig it. I hate superhero movies (except for Batman) so a superhero satire is right up my ally. Finished season 1 last night. Look forward to the rest.

lol I figured as much when A-Train's girlfriend was riding her landlord's face and exploded his head. After that, anything's possible.

I hate super hero movies as well, I guess cause there is so many of them. But once I started watching, it’s pretty wild

I guess the hype for season 4, along with having seen Homelander memes for years, finally got me to give it a try. Breaking Bad was similar for me. Never watched it, but when they were hyping the last season, I gave it a try on Netflix, and before I knew it, I had binged right through to catch up with everyone.

lol I was late to the Breaking Bad as well and it was a great show, binged it in no time. Part of the reason I got into watching The Boys is that it’s filmed in Toronto and the place I work at supplies the trailers for the stars to rest in when they not shooting scenes. I swear I’ve seen some of the trailers in the show. It’s in season 2.
we just made Arnold Schwarzenegger a trailer for his spy show on Netflix and one for the actress that plays his daughter

I really enjoyed Dexter: Original Sin! Nice tie-ins to the original show, the actors did a very good job of playing the younger versions of all the characters, and Christian Slater is always awesome. For some reason it took me 7 episodes to realize the captain is Patrick Dempsey, hahaha.
I'm really hoping this one gets renewed.
    Also, SPPILER ALERT!!!

I was pleasantly surprised to say the least that the first episode showed us old Dexter survived the shooting from New Blood. I don't get how that's possible, but they did it anyway. I'm just glad the door is open for another Michael C Hall series.
