    Track list:

I have this unofficial release of Chrome Dreams (has same tunes except "Will to Live"):

Neil Young – Chrome Dreams The Lost 77 Album

Label:Not On Label (Neil Young) – none
    Format:
    Vinyl, LP, Unofficial Release
    Country:Italy
    Released:2012
    Genre:Rock
    Style:Classic Rock

Guy in a shop years ago convinced me it was a legit release.  Shame on him for duping me, shame on me for being naive.
These are great versions of some classic NY songs.

Just an FYI, other than 2 tracks, all the Chrome Dreams tracks have been released on Stars and Bars, Hitchhiker and Archives 2. Just so buys know, you may have most of the takes already.

    I’m still buying it tho

What’s the best “Crazy Horse” era release on Neil’s archive site ? I have bought most of his solo 1970 & 1971 stuff . Sound quality is superb !

Also, the Chrome Dreams preorder is up now and Sedan Delivery is streaming on NYA

    The music included on CHROME DREAMS is the debut release of the legendary 1977 "Lost" album of 12 classic Neil Young songs. The 1974-1976 studio recordings include two previously unreleased versions;

Four tracks never before released on vinyl and manufactured as a 3-sided double album with an etching on side 4.

The 12 songs on CHROME DREAMS may have existed in other forms at other times, and that is part of the creative process. The summer 2023 release as it is coming to life now is exactly how Young perceives it and has a sense of monumentality about it that conveys a place in history. Songs like "Pocahontas," "Like a Hurricane," "Powerderfinger," "Homegrown" "Stringman," "Look Out for My Love" join eight other tracks to finally present CHROME DREAMS as a guide into the world of a musician who leads the way into the future, never second-guessing what could have been.

Some of the historical lineage of the songs on CHROME DREAMS today include:

"Powderfinger" is the early solo version.

"Pocahontas" is the same version that first appeared on RUST NEVER SLEEPS, but without the overdubs.

"Sedan Delivery" and "Hold Back the Tears" are very different versions (the latter with additional lyrics) than previously released.

"Stringman" was included on the ODEON/BUDOKAN disc in ARCHIVES VOL. II; prior to that it had only appeared on Young's UNPLUGGED album.

    Side 1

    1.  Pocahontas
    2.  Will To Love
    3.  Star Of Bethlehem

    Side 2

    1.  Like A Hurricane
    2.  Too Far Gone
    3.  Hold Back The Tears
    4.  Homegrown

     Side 3

    1.  Captain Kennedy
    2.  Stringman
    3.  Sedan Delivery
    4.  Powderfinger
    5.  Look Out For My Love

You know he’s been revisiting that album if he pulled out 2 songs from it.

Incredible set list.  Jealous of anyone that gets to go. A coworker who is a Heart Of Gold Toe Tapper that lives in Vancouver Washington is going to one of the shows and doesn't really know anything outside of the hits.. I hope he enjoys the variety of this setlist.

Dang. That is some sweet stuff. 'Words unspoken, seem to leave an aweful sound'. What a song to open with. Sure left some baffled while others minds melted. I was a little distracted looking at those picks.

If setlist.fm is to be believed, prime of life played before only by NYCH three times in 1994. Wow.

Worth price of admission for me right there. Another reason to be a Californian

So Rust / Patron is something else than a regular NYA subscriber or what? Confusing stuff...

No point in subscribing for a regular account to listen? Or is a NYA subsriber called a Patron / Rust ?
