Mention of "Little girl" in song somewhere... I know there are more, I have always found the term weird for an adult to say and be recorded...

Yeah! My wife is a huge fan. Our neighbor has a family connection with the sisters since they grew up here in Georgia. Seen them a few times. They put on a great show!

:open_mouth::plus_one: I wish they tour UK again soon! :prayer: Missed them in 2018. I'm sure their shows are a lot of fun! :peace:
Where have you seen them? Are you going to any of their gigs this year?

I’ve seen them 3 times in Atlanta, once at Variety Playhouse, once at Eddie’s Attic (tiny bar and listening room near downtown with great acoustics), and once at a church in east Atlanta for a celebration of the life of Georgia musician, Whit Connah, who was a mentor to them.

They are fantastic! Their voices are amazing and they always have amazing musicians in their band.  I need to look up their tour schedule and get my wife excited, see if we can catch them this year!

My wife saw them a separate time in Atlanta and had the honor of briefly meeting them. She said they were super cool!

Awesome! :star: Here are their 2023 tour dates: https://www.risingappalachia.com/tour

My college students become part of their street team in the context of an assignment. :innocent: I hope someone actually checks the RA Street Team emails, so they can see the great job my students are doing to promote the band in the south coast of the UK, and hopefully, one day they visit Portsmouth :prayer:

Nice! Sounds like some good service learning in action! That’s a cool college assignment. I’m an elementary school teacher and used to have my kids track the sea turtles in the Great Turtle Race (I was super psyched when the Backspacer turtle won! My students did not understand. 😂) Anything to connect our learning to cool music right? My poetry units always included Ben Harper and Neil Young too!

My wife is psyched about that festival they are curating in North Carolina, but currently she has a work obligation. She’s gonna try to work it out.

I’ll ask my neighbor to put a bug in their ear about your kids in Portsmouth. Maybe they’ll consider a tour!

Exactly! The very first assignment for this semester was EV-related
I prepare, mostly, 18-22 y.o. to go to uni (preparatory college). I'm working with, amongst many other majors, all kind of designers (graphic, animation, illustration, fashion and textile, architecture and interior design). They're all so talented! I started the street team assignment last year, and some of their promotional material (artefacts) are still hanging on noticeboards of bookstore cafes and the likes

It'd be much appreciated if you can somehow point them to our street team
