They opened at 12:30. I got there around 10:45 and was 2nd in line for merch at one of the registers. I got everything I wanted including both Zippos.

Curious if anyone can illuminate me on why there is so much chatter criticizing Eddie's performance? I thought it was a fun set, a little short, but that wasn't his fault given the time he lost to crowd issues and curfew.  Definitely a different vibe and performance than Green Day the night before, but I think everyone who's gone to an Eddie solo show knows what to expect and that it is much more subdued than say a PJ show. You can only rock out so much with a ukelele.

The majority loved it. It's just a few that were looking for something different

I have been seeing EV solo for over 15 years.  His solo sets are much different than PJ shows.  I can see how people who didn't manage their expectations were surprised/let down.

I was not there but it was an EV set that was short and full of the same songs we hear over and over. The U2 cover was cool but nowhere near as cool as many of the other covers he does. I can see how some die hard fans that traveled from afar could be let down. Add the delays and the cold weather and I can see how some folks were disappointed. Ed has set a high bar with his playing of deep cuts and 25+ song sets. You pays your money and takes your chances. That said, it's never a bad day when Ed is performing live, it is not like there is somewhere else in the world you would rather be at that moment in time.

Agree 100%. I was not able to make it but was there last time and many other solo shows. Honestly I'm not disappointed I didn't make it this round, which is a first for me. I guess we all move on at some point when it's on repeat.

Just an opinion from a long time fan that has been lucky to see some of those nights when the set is really a great mix of songs that flow. I wish Ed (and Pearl Jam) would take a long break from most of the Ten and Vs. songs, but that is what keeps the people coming. Play more Binaural you fuckers! :)

I will say when I saw eV in Chicago IL2008 on his first solo tour that it was a privilege and if I could have seen him preform every night and every eV show till now .I would say it was a privilege.that goes for all the sideproject bands .love seeing Brad  Tres Mtns .RNDM.CandleBox (Dave Krusen) SoundGarden.
