They might have gotten good TV ratings this weekend if they had played with no other sports on TV...but probably not.
    This weekend we rock Portland

wish i could say i didn't see this coming.

shitty football combined with crappy attendance is not a good recipe for longevity.

st louis drew well, but we are so damn football starved that a high school state championship game would sell out our dome.

It needed time to build. They had good enough crowds. If COVID_19 didn't happen. Pretty sure there would have been a next season

It seemed to be exceeding expectations and building a few local niches.  A lot more viewership than I expected.  Would have definitely had a second season at a minimum (and I was very critical of this thing).

I feel bad for the players and employees.  This probably has more to do with the WWE stock price and very foggy future of spectator events.  McMahon probably doesnt want to fund a huge question mark league pet project right now.

Yea the WWE is still the money maker. If only they had started a year earlier or later

Perhaps it is a wrestling plot line
Vince gets the Rock to buy it at the low bankruptcy sales price and then “wins” the XFL back in some elaborate match. Carnies

Sounds to me like this capital firm probably spent most of the money.  They probably got the rock on board with very favorable terms to grab headlines and also be a very recognizable and likeable face for the league.

they might do something similar with it as the titan show he does. make it more about entertainment with a splash of sports.
