    Vince gets the Rock to buy it at the low bankruptcy sales price and then “wins” the XFL back in some elaborate match. Carnies

    Sounds to me like this capital firm probably spent most of the money.  They probably got the rock on board with very favorable terms to grab headlines and also be a very recognizable and likeable face for the league.
