We got invited to Club 33 at Disneyland last weekend. Very snazzy private club in New Orleans Square.
Walt took me for almost $800 when you figure-in park admission, the Club 33 meal, parking and snacks for the two of us.

$800 for a meal at Disneyland. Sounds about right these days Joe.
Speedy will spend $800 on Dole Whips ad Mickey pretzels alone in April.
Enjoy the trip Speedy.
We're probably heading to the Anaheim House of Mouse in August coupling it with a visit to the new Super Nintendo World at Universal Hollywood that my son the Mario Kart freak has been anticipating for a few years now. This weekend we rock Portland0 -

Your Bears have the #1 overall pick in the draft, so things are looking up. What could possibly go wrong there? This weekend we rock Portland0 -

The Bears will completely fuck up that whole situation. You know it, I know it, and everyone who has ever watched a football game knows it.

Wow. Changing the airport is a bold move.
For some folks that could be a very difficult change.

I grew up about 50 minutes from Disneyland ad we would go 1-2 times a year, so it makes me a little sad. But they've priced the average family out.
Obviously club33 is not going to be part of the plan. But last time we went it was about 5 years ago and cost over $800 for 3 tickets (including 1 kid who was about 3 at the time), parking and food for the day. Lines were so long we barely got to do anything.
I don't blame them though, if I could charge that and sell out every day, I would too.0 -
Yeah the pricing has become awful, especially if you do a day trip like you did. They structure it to try and get families to commit to a full vacation there with sliding scale average daily admissions when you do more days.
It took me a while to convince my wife of how the corporate running of Disney has changed them to a being all about profit, but she sees it now, yet we continue to go annually. I get outvoted 2-1 even though I fot the bill for the damn place. This weekend we rock Portland0 -

I cannot fathom how people travel to Orlando to visit an amusement park. I speak from experience as we did it several times.
The last time I went we spent $1100 on Universal Studios tix and fast passes and ended up leaving at 2pm because we were all sore from riding the rides. Ridiculous.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)
The Golden Age is 2 months away. And guess what….. you’re gonna love it! (teskeinc 11.19.24)

I have been to Disneyland once, and Disney World twice. But it has been so long that last time I was there you still needed an E ticket for Space Mountain0
