Yep, that’s a nasty request. Reminiscent of the time that one artist removed hers during a live performance. It also seems like a typical spastic AK comment.
Yep! I’d like to hear his response to how he views those comments, I’d like to believe he’d feel remorseful but who knows these days how these artists truly feel..

Had to sell my two tix to the first Melbourne gig. Disappointed. But had leg surgery in November and it’s going to be difficult to get in and around a stadium gig with crutches and CAM boot.

Mixed reviews from the first Sydney show, re: setlist, although I think they just interviewed a portion of the crowd who were there for the ‘hits’. People were complaining they played too much ‘new shit’ What the!? Do some of these clowns realise they have two new monster albums out!?!? Dipshits!

Recovering well, nearly contemplating going Thursday night instead. They’re playing a big stadium and there’s tickets selling cheaply.  A work colleague bought my Tuesday night tix. Slightly regretting it, but at the time didn’t think I could make it. And at $200 a ticket,I thought it would be best to get my $$back.

That’s the problem with having 36 new songs out and choosing to play stadiums. No way to please wveryone and I’m sure they super excited to play the new stuff. Can’t blame them at all.

That’s the problem with big stadium shows there’s way too many fairweather fans who don’t really know or care to know the new material! But if the band only cares about those big pay checks for these shows I don’t see them doing any Arena show’s

I’m still hoping they book some arena dates eventually. I’d DEFINITELY go to multiple nights.

Peppers playing Melbourne 1 tonight. Disappointed to miss it. Interesting to see the setlist. My coworker who I sold my tix too is taking her son to his first big rock concert. He’s about 8 or 9 and is a big RHCP fan!

People knowing most of the songs inside and and out is quite rare.   Pearl Jam having the luxury to play obscure songs, but get a positive reaction from the crowd isn't common.   It's why most bands play greatest hits type setlists and maybe toss in 3 or 4 songs new songs into the set.   It's a recipe that's worked for generations :)

I like RHCP, but I don't know their catalog all that well, and most of what I know is their output from the 80s/90s/early 00s.   I think if I went and they played a setlist of mostly new stuff, I won't find the show quite as good, because while I've listened to the new albums, I don't have the same connection to their older material (or know it nearly as well).

Last nights Melbourne setlist. Another show to come. Disappointed to miss. Looks like a good show. ‘The Drummer’ seems to be getting a lot of air time this leg of the tour. A cover mid set is a little bit questionable in a 19 song set. But looks like it was mainly a John solo.

I think many music fans are a bit lazy...go to a show for the name of the band and the few songs they know...don't put the work in to know the catalogue that will in the end have them enjoy the show more.

With the death of albums and hell, even full songs with the rise of streaming and tik tok I imagine this is even worse.  Tough for a band to manage that well...play the songs that keep them energized and growing AND play enough hits to satisfy those spending $ to see them.  Generally when I haven't enjoyed a show as much as I thought, it's because I didn't do enough listening.

I'm sure recency bias plays a role, but Eddie is firmly in my top 3 favorite Peppers songs currently.
