Just an idea I had, but I feel like JW should sell little disposable cameras at his shows. Limit one per customer, no flash, and each camera would hold like 5 or so shots. I honestly don’t take too many pictures at shows. Typically I will just snap a few shots without even thinking about it in hopes that maybe I’ll get 1 or 2 nice ones and I never take video. I would of liked to take a few pics at his shows I had attended last year but since they lock up your phone…maybe this could be a little bit of a  compromise. The artist can make some money off the camera sales and it would give a chance for a fan to maybe have a nice memory to share.

he does actually have a pro photographer take pics and then you can download them off his website for free.

That’s true. They passed out postcards at the shows with the info where you could download the photos from that particular show. So that’s cool. I had some amazing vantage points though, would of made for some good photos, lol.

it is a good idea. But I have to admit, I freaking LOVED the show with no one holding anything up. And I'm guilty of it here and there too. I love having a visual memento of the show.

Right. It is hard to find a happy medium with people and their cameras sometimes. Nice to get a break from it once in awhile…

It's definitely nice. I will take a pic every so often but some people are just stupid with trying to video everything. It looks like shit, sounds like shit and annoys the fuck out of people.

especially when taking video. why take a 30 second video of a 4 minute song? for me it would be all or none. I took a full video of Burton Cummings two weeks ago doing an acoustic/lounge/swing version of American Woman, but I held my phone against my chest so the light wouldn't bother anyone. Got the audio. the video would have been shit anyway.

I guess after Elephant the only album left to get the vault treatment will be GBMS. They've done Icky Thump X already that came in that crazy huge box.

I feel the box was just too big though, soft touch so you want it in a sleeve but the size and shape was just awkward. Give me a nice gatefold any day of the week.

Got an email to say the next quarter February-April 2023 is going up to £80 here in the UK. Been thinking these have been getting a little pricey for me for a while. Been a member since Vault 1 and just missed a few I wasn't interested in, in recent years but I just don't think I can do £80. I'd be happier if they kept the cost down by cutting down the packaging and extras and just released a nice gatefold LP every release.

I think this will be a good one.  But if you're not a jazz guy, then I can see passing.

Vault has landed. Comes in a book style.  Little cheap feeling.  It's not nearly as nice as the box for Icky X as a comparison.  Looks nice though.

I go back and forth with the Vault. I'm not an idiot but I just cannot understand their timeline. I join because I want something...then they announce something else and I don't remember if I'm a member or not. Then I end up with Carole King or some stoner band
