elephantt wrote:great setlist, the band played realy great. But the show in munich can not be compared to the show in Zagreb or Prague... For some reason the venue was not even full...the crowd was like they where at a movie or a theater visit.
I think, the thing is... when you live in a city (Munich,Paris,Berlin, Vienna...) and you have the "luck" to go every 3rd day to a great concert, at a some point you accept this things as granted and normal.
Pearl Jam concerts in Brasil, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland where always more visited and packed with energy because its a rare visited region by the band, and the people are realy into it.
so long
vienna was fucking brilliant last year!!!Beavis : Is this Pearl Jam?
Butt-head: This guy makes faces like Eddie Vedder.
Beavis: No, Eddie Vedder makes faces like this guy.
Butt-head: I heard these guys, like, came first and Pearl Jam ripped them off.
Beavis: No, Pearl Jam came first.
Butt-head: Well, they both suck.0 -
It was my first PJ concert. Athough I'am fan from the first album, I just couldn't make it before this year. After Zagreb 2006, I had to come, and Munich was just a place to be.
I was blown away. I still have flashes of some scenes and rush of emotions afterwards. I cant point out the best thing... setlist, sound, the group... excellent.No_CoDeyeah wrote:Was a great show, entrance in the show was awfull, a completly mess, my little contribution enjoy :

If You watch the video closely, You can see Eddie browse through the crowd, looking very pleased (as he said in one moment), and just before he starts singing again, he points to the crawd and then back at himself. He says: "I remember You too".
He was looking at the crazy Croatian buch (link at the bottom of the page http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?t=154094&page=463 (by Rijeka)), where "Pajo" was holding a poster saying "Zagreb remebers". I can tell, I was just behind Pajo. "Rijeka" was in front of me.
That only pushed us 'over' a little bit more.
The best concert of my life. Before that I could not understand why my Croatian friends were going like three times on PJ concert each year. Now, I want to go again. Tomorrow, next week,...0 -
Awesome, awesome show.
Probably the best of my 15 PJ gigs. The band was on fire and the vide was great. If Wembley can manage to top it, I will be seriously impressed.
I'll post some pretty badass photos I took once I get back to London this weekend. Damn was that some good shit.My Pearl Jam Photos

Well the lights went on and they played Barbara O'Riley. So it was pretty clear, particulary when Eddie said "It's been an honour to be the opening band for The Who", I guess.elephantt wrote:I think, the thing is... when you live in a city (Munich,Paris,Berlin, Vienna...) and you have the "luck" to go every 3rd day to a great concert, at a some point you accept this things as granted and normal
Berlin was sold-out last year btw ;-). I guess the problem with PJ and Germany is that there really are one or two concerts too many this year here. I know many guys who said "No, we don't go to Munich with you. They're playing Southside this year". They're in the southern region this year THREE times (Southside, Munich, Novarock is more or less the South as well), the north has Copenhagen and Hurricane, the west Düsseldorf and the gig in the Netherlands.
The only reason to complain about something would be that the gig seemed really short compared to Berlin last year. is that only a subjective judgement?
Anyway: GREAT SHOW! I'm still missing some of the more usual songs (my 2nd PJ gig only ;-)) but as I won't go to the festivals this year, I get the feeling that I won't see that many more in Düsseldorf as well. But I certainly won't complain about it.0 -
Yes, It almoust looked like germans were in minority. They should have organised the dates better, Europe is tougher to tour if you are not mainstream. If the venues were spread evenly trough europe it could have been a sold out tour. I think the price of the tickets (of any band not only pj) is discouraging to the general fan.I knew who I was before other people started telling me who I was. J.Joplin0

Short? It lasted two hours...
One german guy said the floor was sold out. I enjoyed every second of it.0 -
Such an amazing setlist. Probably the best ever. For me. I couldn't believe, that they've started with Sometimes. I was just like, o my god, is this realy happening to me? I've heard Sad and Footsteps for the first time. The last one was just perfect. So I have no voice left now because I was screaming and singing..I always wanted to hear Footsteps in live. Now, I've got it. Such a dream come true. And yeah, I can't forget to mention No more war, Present Tense. Anf of course. Inside job. Mike did a great job. Amazing. Every Pj fan should have seen this concert.I just want to scream...
...hello!!!
My god its been six years...
never dreamed...
...you'd return.0 -
It was just like every song i've always wanted to hear live (except black, but maybe at southside) was played - in ONE SINGLE show, that was so amazing. After every Song I thought "WOOOW that was amazing, it can't get better", but it got better with every song!
17 new songs to me on my second show, it was the perfect opposite to Bern (Bern was also amazing of course, but very different)13/9/06: Bern
12/6/07: Munich
23/6/07: Southside Festival0 -
What a f-ckin killer show this was!!.
It could have been shit for me, my plane was late so arrived 17.30 in munich and had to take a cab for 60 euro to the arena and then I was trying to find the chorzow bus but didn´t so went around in the arena and asked people if they seen any polish people(everybody looked at as if I were a psycho=). Finally someone say that they all had "can´t find a eddieman" t-shirts. Finally I found "pajo" So I was calmed and loaded like shit for the gig
When they opened with Sometimes I just felt it were to be a good one. And blood in the end was sooooooo good. The only thing that were a little bit stranged was that the audience were pretty still. When they started the last encore I moved back to relax but was running forward as soon a blood started and it was no jumping among the jammers It felt like it was just me. But in all This was sooo good.2006 Paris, Prague
2007 Munich, Katowice, Kopenhaven, Nijmegen0 -

Hm ... Some guys at the German message boards say that the playlist had some more songs on it originally and that Eddie made signs to the rest of the band that he couldn't sing any longer. I don't know about this as I couldn't see it (15th row or something like that).
But well as I said: It's been just a feeling I didn't look at my watch0 -
Eddie made signs to the rest of the band (specially to Matt) that he couldn't sing any longer, after Baba o'riley. probably they had one more song on the original setlist.
i saw those signs clearly from G1 sector where i was.
maybe Blood at the end of the show tired his voice.

one would expect at least part of the encore being slower but instead BLOOOOOOOD ! damn.... crazy ....14/6/00 Prague 22/9/06 Prague 12/6/07 Munich 15/8/09 Berlin 22/06/10 Dublin 23/06/10 Belfast 30/06/10 Berlin 26/06/12 Amsterdam 02/07/12 Prague 04/07/12 Berlin 05/07/12 Berlin 07/07/12 Stockholm 09/07/12 Oslo 10/07/12 Copenhagen 25/6/14 Vienna 26/6/14 Berlin 1/7/18 Prague 3/7/18 Krakow 5/7/18 Berlin0 -
