    The Emmy awards is such bullshit. I’m not sure which is worse — that or the Oscars.

    These people celebrating themselves, everyone gather to idolize them! Don’t they realize this just makes their self-entitlement worse? Being surrounded by yes-men is so….unchallenging. Boring. 

    Oh, these “stars” 🙄 No one gives a shit about your message, your politics, whatever cause that platform provides because somehow, their opinions are so much more valid to us, the little people. 

    Yeah, I’m just a tad cynical about everything Hollywood ;)

    I saw this and i wanted to bring it up but didnt want the  agro from folk. Lots of FACT coming out that isnt good. I for one am done with these vaccines. Had 2 Az 1 pfizer. Enough  for me

    I don't see the problem here. it was proven safe for the general public. it decreased severe outcomes of covid significantly. whether it stopped transmission or not was secondary. I'm no scientist, but my guess is it most likely stopped many from being symptomatic, which therefore means fewer transmissions.

    WTF are you surprised or angry about? This is not news. All you need to do is remember back to the original data set submitted for regulatory approval. Pfizer had data on reduction in infection, in severe outcomes and in deaths, plus safety data. They did not have data on effect on transmission nor did they make claims about effect on transmission.  The benefits of releasing the vaccines in terms of SAVING LIVES far outweighed the need to know the impact on transmission first. 

    And yet we knew the vaccines would reduce transmission because if you’re not infected you won’t transmit the virus. Data on transmission came later. 

    It’s so fucking infuriating when people still try to tear down what has been one of the most amazing scientific achievements of modern times and one that saved the lives of millions and millions of people.

    yeah, it was to protect everyone, to try to achieve as close to herd immunity as possible. and I wouldn't call that a laugh. I call that a "this isn't news" and it's "inconsequential" kind of reaction to the question. this isn't the "bombshell" you think it is. it's nothing.

    Yes, it’s a big part of protecting others and not being selfish. And it worked remarkably well, when people listened, along with masks.
