That sucks.  I can't do shit in that app from my phone as far as league management.  I will get on laptop this weekend and send you the invitation again....we'll figure it out.

We have one seat open....let's find someone and confirm for those who have not:

    Keeper rules:
Thanks for your input, here are the final rules prior to draft.
The 2019 Draft Order will be random.  Starting in 2020 (when we will use keepers) we will determine the draft rule in reverse order of the final standings (overall, not head to head) of 2019 Season.
Final standings from regular season, moving up those who finish in the money accordingly.
    How Many Keepers: 3
How Many Consecutive Years May an Owner Keep a Player: 5
What does it cost to Keep a Player -- 2 rounds higher than the round you drafted them in, the year prior. In the event that the players were drafted 1-2-3 (or any other scenario that sees their draft round not able to increase by 2, that is OK. This idea is that all would be in the first 3 rounds if drafted in the first 5 rounds the year prior.)
If someone is added via waiver wire they are treated as a last round pick.
Can you draft and keep someone who is injured?  Yes.
Can you pick up someone on the waiver wire who is injured and keep them?  A conditional yes/no.  If a player is hurt from 25% or more of the season you cannot pick him up from the waiver wire and keep him.  The only way a player hurt 25% or more of the season can be 'kept' the following year is if you drafted them.
Do you have to keep 3 (or any) players? No, up to the owner.
    How does this work?
We set the rules before the draft, this season. Next season, there is a date prior to the draft (about a week) at which the Keepers are due to be shared. The commish will set the draft accordingly, which Yahoo has the tools to do, so that the Keepers are slotted to the Owners based on submitting, in the appropriate draft...and things run smoothly during the live draft. (As I understand it)
Trades -- when a player is traded they lose their keeper value and will re-enter the draft pool next year.
What happens if a team owner drops out?
The replacement owner selected has the option to assume the team and the keepers?
OR, if the system will not allow this, we would need to release those players all into the pool and the replacement owners would get no keepers. A one year penalty, basically, to join.

I have to admit that I can't stand having to chase owners.

Email and 10c league thread messaging.  How hard is it to hit reply?  You know the football season is here, not difficult to check in.  You joined a keeper league, which represents your intention to keep participating.

If we don't hear from people by Thursday Sept1st, I will remove them from the league.

Did we find a replacement owner yet?

I would be interested in stepping in if you're looking for a new owner. Couple questions....when is the draft? what team would I be taking over? general rules/scoring for the league?

Ok, down to confirmations needed from 2 players and then we can deal with the open spot if it is only 1.

@maynardsux - assuming you are in, captain fantasy!  Please confirm.
@mehico98 - are you back with us?  Please confirm.

Keepers are due, please submit asap!!

Adding @CFO93 as new owner #1.
Thank you for interest, those who reached out.  We will let you know if there are any additional spaces open asap.

    Thanks!
    B.

Are we doing $25 again this year?
  • F Me In The BrainF Me In The Brain this knows everybody from other commets Posts: 30,587
I think so....would love to do high stakes but it is tough enough to keep everyone at 25.
250 or 2500 would be much more interesting!!!
(Not sure I would go that high in a league with Gerry.  He just wins too frequently!)

Maybe not this year in baseball, although my success in the regular season doesn't truly matter haha.

What if we do a league vote to bump it up to $50 or $100?

I am in.  My team is "Dirty Franks" .  I was the chump that asked for the rules to be posted again.

I've dominated in too many regular seasons only to lose in the playoffs to count that as anything other than a bye week win.  :)

    Draft in a few hours!

Looks like three of us kept our first three round draft picks from last year

and I missed it. I was pretty beat, long day. They said my draft grade was a "C'. I think I did a little better than that. Only position i'm kinda hurting at is WR.

Did we pay for this league yet?  I remember last year we paid through a website that held the money for us...

I need to set that up, will send out.  Dave asked in the thread, as well.

I was shocked by a win by only .04 points; after Sunday night Yahoo had me with a 91% chance of losing, go figure.
