um, keep it covered for the 1st couple nights, and put bepanthen on it, which we have for little Z's arse, so in effect i'll be putting arse cream on my chest.

Good call, if its on your chest you'de want to minimise rubbing, so covering it for the first coupla days is good, but a word of advice, and I only say this cause I have 8 of the little inkers, but let it scab up after about two days, (dont let it dry out)-keep Bepanthen on it, but let it scab.
I covered my foot tatt up too much (with socks) and its faded heaps and need to get part of it redone.
