    CBS was reporting that it was a violation of the records retention act.  It seems they are there to recover documents that belong to the gov't.  If that's the case, my guess is this is the limit of the 'intrusion'.

    Anything is going to play to the cult when it comes to the persecution defense.  Obviously justice needs to be served but I am really hoping for something more than a records violation that would feed into the paranoia of the right that trump is being targeted for purely political reasons.

    only an idiot would have anything on site.  They will probably find the national archives documents because they know they were there.  If they aren’t there that’s probably legally worse for trump.  I thought at one point there were boxes in a published picture of these documents.

    All it would take is their confirmation that classified information was still missing after the documents were supposedly returned. These documents were were highly sensitive and the government wanted them back. No black ops required.
