I have heard it on tape,cd,and mp3. But listening to it through headphones on vinyl???,OMG!! It now ranks as my top 3 PJ albums. Let's hear your thoughts. Jeff's bass on God's Dice is a highlight.

One of the only two PJ albums I don’t own on vinyl (the other is Riot Act). I have the Greatest Hits album on vinyl though and the tracks from Binaural sound great. Binaural is in my top 3 favorite PJ albums for sure.

Binaural is absolutely fantastic. Gave it a spin the other night, its an album that keeps getting better with age.

Agree OP.  Vinyl and headphones and I start to think to myself “this is the best PJ album!”

The run of tracks 4-10 is phenomenal
    4. Light years
    5. NAIS
    6. Thin air
    7. Insignificance
    8. Of the girl
    9. Grievance

In a parallel universe fatal and sad made the album and those were the hits.

How those became lost dogs I will never understand

Even better if you are listening to the OG pressing and not the 2017 RE. Having said that, the Binaural RE is one of the better PJ reissues. Some (Avacado and Ten come to mind) are downright awful.

Exactly. Who cares if the album has “hits”? It’s fucking amazing the way it is. Some of my favourite records hardly anyone has bought let alone heard.

some of the stuff on lost dogs is just too good to be on an album with Sweet Lew and Gremmy.  I never wondered why those didn’t make it on an album

I think it’s pretty well documented the band went out of their way after Vitalogy to avoid including hits on their albums through Riot Act. They wanted nothing to do with pop culture.
They were going a different direction artistically, for which they should be commended.  They put the music first, not the charts. They have my full respect for that.

I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

Yup. And I wish they would do it again. Give me artistic/experimental PJ. Gigaton had some of this but not nearly enough IMO
