Saw a bottle of Peerless rye for $107.

Is that high or good?  I thought about buying it but this place is notorious for selling high and at tater prices.
It’s about average. But I don’t think a standard bottle is really worth that price. I’d wait to see a barrel pick or wait until peerless ages there stuff longer.

And this is coming from someone who visited their distillery and had an amazing time. There’s just so much stuff you can get for cheaper.

FINALLY found a Larceny Barrel Proof. Been looking the past two years with no luck. I paid $100 at a local shop that gouges, but I just needed to finally have a bottle. This C921 is really great. Sweet and silky with none of the tannic notes I get on the small batch. Was worth the price, especially given how impossible it's been for me to find...
I have the C921 after missing out on all earlier batches, but I hear this one is the best. $100 isn’t too bad especially since you were looking for a while. I absolutely love this bottle and will check out future versions too. I definitely need a new Elijah Craig sometime soon. Haven’t bought a bottle since 2019. I heard A122 is really good.
I agree, the Larceny C921 is pretty great. Not sure why it's so much harder to find than ECBP. Might be a regional thing. I managed to score all three 2021 batches of ECBP and thought they were all very good. Some people criticized the lower proofs, but I think they were all still damn good. Will happily buy all future batches of either...
Did you get A122? I picked one up and I’m loving it. Would be interesting to know how it stacks up against 21.
I haven't seen any 22 batches yet, but I was able to grab ECBP B521 and C921 AND 2 bottles of Larceny C921 on my drive to the Oakland shows! Feeling pretty good about that haul.

Congrats on the baby!  Never understood the appeal of ice in bourbon though?  The taste changes too much for me.

Thanks!  I've always liked it on the rocks.  Those big ice cubes melt very slowly so it doesn't get watered down too much.

thanks...I see what I did. I was searching the word rather than the title so it wasn't showing up and drove me insane

Grabbed this at Costco the other day.  Only $20 for a liter.  And it's made by Barton.  Was pretty good...can't beat it for that price.

I want to see more of this so the overepricing of good bourbon goes down.

I snagged one as well....haven't tried it yet but I figured it had to be worth the price

Been on a Oban kick lately
I’ve had the 14yo and it’s delicious. Looking forward to try the other two.

I might want to try this.  It's getting harder to find stuff that isn't marked up and resold at ungodly prices.

For me the 14 is balanced. Just enough sweetness to counter the smokiness. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

Anyone try new riff bourbon or rye?
The bourbon is great, haven’t cracked open the rye yet.
Both run about $100 Canadian. I think the rye is a bit more $$$ then the bourbon.
Curious what you guys pay in the U.S
