The last time they changed to a more boring looking font was the year before they switched to midnight green. Perhaps there's a bigger change than just the alternate jersey next year...

Not sure what happened, but anyway.

If you could pick a kelly green jersey to switch to:

    -1960 Chuck Bednarik
    -1980 Wilbert Montgomery
    -1990 Randall Cunningham
    -Combo/modernized version

    I'd go 1- 1990, 2- 1960, 3- 1980 but I could be convinced to pick the 1960 jerseys - classic.

Yeah I mean didn't they say the earliest they could go to Kelly Green would be next year or something? So I take this as that next step, but otherwise everything about the Birds' color and logo schemes have been garbage since the 90's switch. So so bad. Kelly green, wings on the helmets, spread eagle full bird logo. That's it. All this other stuff has just been terrible.

Controversial: change to the blue and yellow going forward, or at least as an alternative. I would love to see a team use the City's flag colors.

put me in the minority but not a fan of the Kelly Green.  Those ones pictured above are very bland and boring to me.

I did enjoy the baby blue & yellow unis, actually.

That silver pants & white jersey was always my favorite look. For wearing green, the best look was 1960. I vote for always wearing white at home - keep the sun baking the away team a little more in the early part of the season and make Dallas wear blue out of spite.

Sheil Kapadia leaving The Athletic for The Ringer, that's a bummer. I've seen this a few times now, and wonder what the deal is - is it more Ringer putting out money or messaging of things to come for The Athletic?

I will likely not be renewing my Athletic subscription. No Bodner, and now no Sheil. Plus I just don't read it as much as I would like for it to be worth it.

It is still the main place for sports writing, at least for me.  It is like the old Rich Johnson's Sportspages, only better.  Way better.
    The Ringer, huh.  Interesting.

He was Top 10 in QBR last year.  He doesn't suck.   People remember his horrible last game of the season last year and the narrative because of that game is that he sucks.  It's just false.  They also forget his last year with the Birds they had literally 1 healthy offensive lineman.  I think Carson is better than the current narrative.  We will see where he takes it with the Washington Football Team (like that a lot better than the Commanders)

    Wow, brutal interview!

Mrs FMe stepped into 2 club seats for her beloved birds.  They make you sign up for years...this could be hilarious for me.  Hope they seem good and she loves it but the potential to mess with her and encourage that Philly fan anger is almost endless.  :)

    "Philly didn't want you"

That's actually not true. He demanded a trade out of town after his ass got benched. The level of support for this guy from Philly was over the top.

Club seats - whoa. I sat there once - very nice.

Not my money, so I'm good with it. (We've always held separate accounts and split the bills up.)
Actually encouraged her.  She could eat coal and shit diamonds.  She's been saving for a shore house but I think everyone needs to spend some of their hard earned money...and she doesn't tend to do that.  Love saving, but a fan of smelling some roses along the way.
She will have to fight her instincts to sell half of them.  I told her she should go to all of the games in Year 1 and see what she thinks.

I'd be shocked if half the shore houses don't sink into the sea, so the club seats are a better investment.

Oh they will but we can't die with our money, so spend on the Birds tickets, spend on the shore house. Do it all!

Hot take - if you're looking for an actual shore investment the winner is dead-center Atlantic City. Yes, it can be a shit hole. But as Johnny said everything's sinking into the sea. But less so in the heart of town there, for now. Plus it's the only place left on the Jersey shoreline that's remotely cheap and has value. Look up some of the houses you can get around there - they're huge and nice (relatively speaking!) and cheap. Property/land is a fixed/scarce resource, especially downashore.

If I had all the monies, though, I'd be buying on the tip of Cape May and enjoy my time while watching the investment part slip into the sea.

Is everyone aware that we have an Eagles/Cowboys game at 4:30 on Christmas Eve, followed by a Sixers/Knicks game Christmas Day at high noon?

Hell of a holiday right there, folks.

I don't have a TV set up in the kitchen/dining room. I can put it on an iPad or something I guess then we switch to living room for 2nd half - we'll see. It's just hectic. I'm annoyed about it.
