Cool. Now was it good? I think it's easier to cover Nirvana than it is a Pearl Jam song.Post edited by igotid88 onI miss igotid880

Post Malone did an awesome Nirvana cover session before. Guy is legit.0

It wasn't good. But if it helps get younger fans to Pearl JamI miss igotid880

Post talked about Betterman reminding him of his brother in the milatary/stationed in Hawaii. Watt was there playing guitar and showing love to EV, Post would love to crack a beer with Mr Vedder one day, as Watt said it would be a long Hang.
howard said Ed & PJ are legends, and he’s gotten to know EV a lil over the past short time. They all agreed 90s music was the shit.
Howard didn’t know much bout Watt, Andrew shoulda said “ I produced Ed’s last Record & Next PJ album, Biatch” 🤣 As always cool Interview by Howard.0 -

I'm not any sort of musician, but I have heard a lot of comments that Nirvana had really easy tabs, riffs, etc.
Either way, it's incredible to realize (not just know, but fully realize) those guys were all approximately mid-20s when those 90s songs were written. Hell, considering Better Man was written *before* Pearl Jam, Eddie was probably still a teen.
Post Malone's version was well done. He did it justice.Post edited by Lost In Ohio onPresidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -
Me neither. But to the naked ear it sounds easier. I'm sure there are other musical things I'm missing. But when I hear people cover Nirvana it's not much different. Rarely hear a good PJ coverLost In Ohio said:igotid88 said:Cool. Now was it good? I think it's easier to cover Nirvana than it is a Pearl Jam song.

Miley Cyrus covers are better. His voice cracking and wavering ruined the song.I Know All The Rules But The Rules Do Not Know Me.0

Last year I did a Nevermind tribute for the 30th anniversary & had to learn the bass lines to play the album front to back. I figured "that should be easy enough".Lost In Ohio said:igotid88 said:Cool. Now was it good? I think it's easier to cover Nirvana than it is a Pearl Jam song.

I couldn't have been more mistaken about some of the songs... there's nothing easy about the bass lines for Lounge Act, or Stay Away. Lithium is pretty inventive as well... it helps that Novoselic is like 8' tall & has long fingers... he covers so much ground on some of those bass lines. In Bloom isn't particularly difficult, but he covers a lot of ground on that one too. The bass work for Nirvana is understandably overshadowed by Grohl & Cobain, but man... Noveoselic was solid AF.

False....great music can be made with easy riffs. Cobain was legit.Lost In Ohio said:igotid88 said:Cool. Now was it good? I think it's easier to cover Nirvana than it is a Pearl Jam song.

I like lots of stuff I've seen Malone do. This isn't one of them, but I like his love for Pearl Jam and that he continues to cover music he loves. The love he receives is the love that is saved0
