I hesitate to even sideways bring something political into the discussion, but the first thing that passed though my head was this: If we were to convert all the firearms and munitions factories in the world into lacquer production and vinyl pressing facilities, we would have a lot more records, a lot of happy music fans, far fewer murders and killing, and maybe even the possibility of peace on earth.

The downside of that would be that a lot of people on here would go broke if there was even more vinyl to buy!“Do not postpone happiness”

Just seemed like something Neil would go along with.Or Jimi Hendrix, when he did that little rap before going into "Wild Thing" in Europe..."You know, dig, instead of marching down the streets with, uh, you know, M-16s and all like that maybe we could ahh, march down the streets with some electric guitars, you know, something like this..." (glorious feedback commences).Yeah, I think Neil would dig that. Is that better?"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

There would be more killing because only bad guys would have guns and no one else would have guns to protect themselves and especially their property and the property of others. Records are wants...Guns are Human Rights!Scio me nihil scire

Thank god for swedish gun laws.
And thank god for Neil Young concerts played in Sweden.

Complicated.
I had a ton of ny records. Got bored of him, traded them. Now slowly getting them back. Still bores me but I guess I like being bored more now!!
Nothing quite beats getting deep into cowgirl in the sand, down by the river....just realized putting those two songs together. That's why I like them so much!
I saw a cowgirl riding a horse by my favorite fishing spot.

Neil's longer jams- especially with Crazy Horse- will get under your skin that way. "Loose Change", from Broken Arrow, is like psychedelic meditation to me. That long stretch when they lock on to that one chord over and over and over with the subtlest of changes throughout takes me into an incredibly trance-like space every time.

I’d post this in the PJ side, but fuck it. I love that they still play Throw Your Hatred Down. Wish they’d bring back Act of Love.0
