Have not watched 1 inning of 1 game yet this year.
Can only name 4-5 guys on the entire roster.

    Geez

Looks like they scored more touchdowns today than the Bears normally score.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Hendricks, Heyward, and Contreras left from world series team.
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.

Just won their first series yesterday since… the first series of the year.
These guys are kinda fun to watch, most of the time. Happ had a great start. Contreras is on a tear as of late. I’m sure we’ll trade them both come July.

It's at least a sign that winter is coming to an end, so there's that.

    Anyone remember Brant Brown?
I totally remember that on Sept. 23, 1998. I was watching batting practice for Mets-Expos at Shea and they were showing the Cubs game on the scoreboard at the time. The Mets lost to the Expos 3-0 because they couldn't hit Carl Pavano and ended the season on a five-game losing streak to finish one game behind the Cubs

Suzuki plays solid defense for 2 straight years. And tonight he decides to turn in to Brant Brown.

    And I'm still pissed off.

I watched the Reds game last week where Hunter Green had his best ever game, 13 KS, 1 run, was dominant.  Bullpen blew it.  We would have been .5 out.
None of these teams past Philly are very good, which is why they make the fans want to throw stuff st the TV.

From ESPN STats and Info: The Cubs have now lost 5 games this month after holding a lead in the 8th inning or later. That's tied for their most such losses in any single month over the last 50 seasons (June 1991 & September 1992).

This should be a fun week here in Chicago.
Get to watch the Cubs lose 5 straight going into Sunday.
Then on Sunday I get to switch back and forth from the Cubs and the Bears.
And if that's not enough to make someone question every decision they have ever made in life....
Then I don't know what is!

    Sure, I agree.
But it would have been nice to gather with friends, have some beverages, grill some food, and watch the Cubs blow a wild card series.

Trust me, if these clowns make the playoffs, I don't see them advancing past game 2.

you never know with those best of three series, last year the team with home field advantage won one series and that was Cleveland. Last year, a 101-win Mets team, the Cardinals and Blue Jays lost in that round, though each of those had way higher win totals than the NL second and third wild card teams, so it seems unlikely the Cubs would win the wild card series.

it’s got to warm your (reconditioned) heart that the cardinals are in DFL, right?

I totally hear you on “why do I do this to myself.” it’s irrational to care so much, but lots of us do. I used to work with an otherwise normal dude who didn’t give two shits about sports. I envied him.

    True story. 100% fact

Last year when I had the stents, cardiac arrest, death, etc. I woke up and declared I will never watch another Cubs game. And in 2022 I did just that. I didn't watch a game all season.

After the triple bypass this year for some reason It was just the opposite. I ordered the Cubs tv package at $88 a month, and I have probably watched 100 games this year.

    Fucking weird.

And like I have always said about sports.
When the season is over they will all get on planes, with their 25 year old drop dead gorgeous wives, and go vacation on some tropical island for 4 months.

While us fans sit at home making ourselves crazy spending each day, pissed off, because our team fell apart.

The players forget about that last game in about 48 hours.
