Went in ti Center City today to pick up my race pack for Broad Street, tomorrow. Ran in to Reading Terminal Market since I parked right there....intended to just grab some fish for tonight and left either a bonus pork from DaNics and some cookies.
Been too long since I've been. Was not crowded, at all. Kinda strange, but also cool to be in and out in less than 20 mins. The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
Was the convention center a shit show? I went yesterday and when I think "convention center" I think 11th and Arch. When I got down there they said head to Broad Street. I actually never realized the convention center even went up to Broad, just massive.
Good luck tomorrow!0 -

yea I’s say pretty typical April around here

So many fucking idiots out on the course, for sure slowed things down and frustrated me. Biggest one were the nitwit who jogged together at 3-4 across like it was every Sunday run they take together.
On the flip side, there were (as always) some great signs.
My favorite was held by a wife next door looking lady at mile 7.
"Only 3 miles left. Don't shit in the street"
She loved the laugh she got out of me as I ran past her.
Good advice.

1:43, which is more than fine for me. Felt good by the end, though legs started to lock up a bit at 8.5. Will aim for 1:25 next year. It was a good run, beautiful day, definitely plenty of people out there taking up way too much street. The construction just north of City Hall halved the street which is where people decided to just walk. Haha I went past that lady with that sign. Best sign I saw said, "You've already put in more work than Ben Simmons as a Sixer."F Me In The Brain said:

Hoping Navy Yard is ready to go next year because this setup at the end stunk. It took like 40 minutes to go from finish line, to food tent, to out the exit they funneled people to, to then get out back to the parking lot.
How bout you?0 -
Nice, sounds Iike a good time was had. I took about 45 mins to exit, walk back to Wells Fargo Center, and drive back to Cherry Hill. In/out was stellar for me..the express orange line up in the AM was a snap. I did note that the thing NOT to do would be to take the Orange up from center city. I saw people jammed into one of those trains like us fools leaving Wrigley in 2013. It looked awful. So glad I got the express.
I did well, beat what my goal was, which was to be under 1h30. 1h 26. I know I could've been faster, which is fun. Some races I know there was no way I could have done better. I'm fine with being a slow and steady runner, but it is fun to at least get a little faster.
Yeah....same experience around City Hall, that was the worst, other than perhaps the last half mile as I increased speed and so many people were out of gas and going slowly.
I didn't see that Sixers sign....that is pretty good.
