Johnny Abruzzo said:It's kinda BS that pretty much anyone around here who didn't go to a Big 5 school just roots for Nova but I'd still rather them over Kansas or Duke or whoever. It's not Nova's fault that the other 4 teams suck. Well actually it is since they engineered the royal screwing over of Temple. But anyway...
Also--didn't Temple originally turn the Big East down? Paterno was trying to form an East Coast super league around the same time and I thought Temple believed they'd do that instead. Then when that didn't work out they tried to get into the Big East years later and Nova did what they could to prevent it, obviously. If the shoe was on the other foot, I'd bet Temple would to the same thing.www.myspace.com0 -
I’ve never understood the notion that the fans of other schools in Philly should cheer for nova. Duke doesn’t cheer for Carolina and Purdue doesn’t cheer for Indiana.0

Would love to see Duke/Nova in the championship game.www.myspace.com0

Greatest coach in the history of the city, for all sports...pro and college.
He looked tired this year but went out with his best coaching performance ever. Thanks for an amazing run, Jay.www.myspace.com0 -

Yeah i would agree with that. Only other coach that might come close would be Andy Reid, but he never won the big one for us.

4 Final Fours and 2 championships...plus, other than his first few years and a couple years after the first Final Four, he basically had a team that could contend for a deep run every year for a two decade stretch. Just an unbelievable run, especially considering the shape the program was in when he took over.www.myspace.com0 -
Obviously my bias would pick Chaney but Jay Wright was a hell of a coach for sure. Hope he is happy whatever he's doing.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25
