I must be getting too old. I couldn’t get through the two songs I tried. But I can see why ppl might enjoy it.0

The Edge-esque guitar effects and the out-of-nowhere seismic shredding solos keep me coming back. I also love the attitude in the lyrics and deadpan vocal deliveries.I SAW PEARL JAM0

The album is great. Just so much fun - a breeze to listen to. Not sure if they can sustain this for a career but, for now at least, they’re pretty much the hottest new band in the UK since Arctic Monkeys.

Oh and I’m seeing them in a 600 capacity venue next week, with a ticket that has a face value of £10. 🤯

Piss off, dude!False_Belief said:Oh and I’m seeing them in a 600 capacity venue next week, with a ticket that has a face value of £10. 🤯
I missed my chance for that kind of intimate show. Their album wasn't even out yet when they played Boston, and I'm too old to know who's hot on TikTok or whatever. So, alas, I did not go.
I think when they return to the states proper, they'll either be opening for someone at arenas or headlining large clubs/small theatres. Maybe both.I SAW PEARL JAM0 -

Was hoping they'd have a date in NY but nope...0

They were recently at Brooklyn Steel. And apparently late last year before they blew up they were at the Mercury Lounge, right around the corner from me.tempo_n_groove said:Was hoping they'd have a date in NY but nope...0 -
Mercury Lounge would have been great to see them in. Holds like 200 people.GlowGirl said:

My favorite venue. Sound just envelops you there. Musicians know it, too. I’ve seen some pretty amazing stuff in that room.tempo_n_groove said:

It is a great venue. I have seen tons of bands there. They are also really good to local unknowns as well. Many of my friends have played there in the past.dankind said:

Given that you’re posting in a Pearl Jam forum, I really hope there’s a healthy dose of knowing irony behind this comment 😉1STmammal2wearPants said:Definitely in the running for most unpleasant band name ever.....Post edited by False_Belief onLeeds 2006, London 2007, Hartford 2008, London Shepherds Bush 2009, London O2 2009, Dublin 2010, London Hyde Park 2010, Amsterdam 1 2012, Amsterdam 2 2012, Berlin 1 2012, EV solo London 30/7/2012, Berlin 2014, Stockholm 2014, Milton Keynes 2014, Amsterdam 1 2018, London 1 2018, London 2 2018, EV solo Dublin 2019, London 1 2022, London 2 2022, New York City 2022

I will check them out. I have very similar distaste in music as the above gang of posters.
My head needs something new.0 -
