Love Redbreast. Probably my 2nd favorite Irish pot still whiskey (Green Spot holding #1).mcgruff10 said:Redbreast is one of my faves. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I just poured an angels envy. Redbreast is great! It's a shame the stopped making the 12 year cask strength. They sell a Redbreast Cask Strength without an age statement. It's still good, but not as good as the 12 year CS. Middleton makes some great stuff. I love the "spots" and really dig some of their Method and Madness releases.mcgruff10 said:Redbreast is one of my faves. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I love Makers. Think it’s better than Weller but I guess I should stop promoting that lol.Cliffy6745 said:This looks fun severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31 severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

My current list of must buy whiskies sits at 35 bottles and is growing rather than shrinking. I’ll let you guys know when my wife files for divorce lol.severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

Ha, in my experience that number will only get bigger. The line between my "must" buy and "might as well" buy lists was blurred long ago. Thankfully still married. Haha.SVRDhand13 said:My current list of must buy whiskies sits at 35 bottles and is growing rather than shrinking. I’ll let you guys know when my wife files for divorce lol.0

My next "would love to have" is a William LaRue Weller. After that I don't want nothing crazy.0

My GF is always "Ugh...more whiskey? Don't you have enough already?!?!"
I then tell her "Until my whiskey cabinet is full, the answer is no".
That said, even when it's full I'm still going to get more if I see something worth getting.
The best part of her comments is that she really likes whiskey and has no problem whatsoever having a pour when I do.
So...she bitches about it, then is all "Oooh...what are we having tonight?!?"
 Mmmmhmmm.Post edited by mca47 on0

I've tried both and the LaRue was absolutely amazing. The Pappy was really good too but can't justify the price.SVRDhand13 said:

I’ve only tried GTS out of the big boys and I loved it. Old Rip too but I guess that’s one step down (still brilliant).tempo_n_groove said:

sambuca is gross, I hate the taste of licorice. But like you I also did shots of it back in the day. I'm not really into after dinner drinks but we have company coming over today so I figured I'd buy a bottle of something. Grand mariner and 43 are also nasty.bbiggs said:
Nice. I remember drinking Sambuca shots when we were underage. It falls in that same category of liquor. Hilarious to think we were drinking that at 19 or 20 years old.mcgruff10 said:Yea it s an after drink. I m usually good with one.
Joe that's the first time I've bought 46 so I'm not sure if they changed the bottle.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0
