I buy it in this case, but it could be incorrecttylermoore said:
This. With all the random dates Ticketmaster has used as placeholders, or the amount of times there’s issues with the site, why do people seem to think that date is so concrete? Especially with the way things have gone so far, I don’t buy itKevinman said:

There is a difference between 4 months lead time versus 7 weeks. Sorry, we have different expectations. Agree that not everyone is going to be able to go regardless, but the band doesn't tour a lot, so they know a lot of people travel and want to catch the shows while they can. I have friends who I travel to shows with (and one of the main reasons I enjoy PJ so much) that won't be able to go in May most likely as they have to turn in their work schedules tomorrow. Nobody is raging, we are just posting our disappointment with the timing of announcement on a message board designed to be a place to do just that.Clapper said:
Its just for the tickets and you know what happens when a tour that employs hundreds of people and plays for tens of thousands of fans doesn't work for my schedule? I just don't go. I don't complain that a band has forsaken my personal needs. Why meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?cincybearcat said:

Gutted as someone who cannot take time off in September especially the first three weeks. I’ve waited so long
might have to get creative with work to make my NSH happen if these dates are anywhere near true. But of course so happy to see some really solid rumors! 0 -

Smashville (Bridgestone Arena) is pretty much open from Sept 11-16. No help there

Pearl Jam moving at a glacier's pace is really on-the-nose for the Gigaton theme. Way to commit to the bit, fellas.
Nice to see some plausible speculation of dates trickling into the thread. Let's keep that going!0 -

Interesting at first I thought that makes no sense with HAM and TO even close they should do TO first but it is booked on the 5th.jimjam1982 said:

Since my job is involved with the end of the fiscal year, they don't let us take any time off during the month of September. If the Nashville rumor rings true, I'll have waited 2+ years to not be able to attend. At least I have my Nashville 2020 poster...Post edited by flanosmasseur on07/28/1992 - Cincinnati

MSG wide open - only a few bookings at the end of the month.Ugh bracing for disappointment. Maybe will have to try for a road show. But I can’t even trade because of ticket restrictions! ...for a show I have tickets to see. That said, if it comes down to Pearl Jam vs. My Chemical Romance, it's not really a contest.PJNB said:

I'm not expecting it...but it would be really, really cool if they found a way to incorporate some type of ticket trading system given the date changes (especially day of week changes...)OceansJenny said:MSG wide open - only a few bookings at the end of the month.Ugh bracing for disappointment. I know fan to fan in theory "makes up for this" but it really doesn't, in practice.0 -
One of my great joys in life is going to the airport. There’s that security line everyone knows we’ve got to wait in before entering terminals. You never know how long it will be, so it’s very exciting to finally see it and get in line. Then, the line moves very slowly. The best part is when someone begins craning their neck, barking at no one in particular and with no hope of affecting the pace of the line, starts with the, “what’s going on?”, “this is ridiculous!”, “they need to get more workers!” routine. It’s just the best part of travel. So excited to fly to some PJ shows to be around that guy at airports.0

Just to clarify my post from a couple weeks ago. My msg source does not get back to me right away, and I’m not going to keep asking him. He told me multiple holds later in the year. I said November on this thread because that was the original rumor. So it’s looking like September. Just hoping there’s more than 1 date with the term “multiple holds” being used.
If Toronto is 9/7, they don’t need to make MSG Fri 9/9 and Sat 9/10 in order to sell out, it could be Monday and Tuesday and it still would. Also, if they play Camden Yards, that HAS to be a weekend night right? I’m all over the place here. Just hoping for more added dates than just reschedules2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 | 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x20 -
Yeah, that makes sense. I had only been checking the TM site since March 8, so it could have just been looking at "today" and then making it the next date. That sucks about your trip, but I hope it works out.aisleseats said:
When it's been doing that for my other (non-PJ) shows, it's been listing their dates as the day following the actual show date. Since there are no show dates for the PJ shows, it's been listing those dates as the day following today.Vedd Hedd said:
Thats fair, but I just wonder why most of the PJ tickets say March 9, while none of my other bands have that issue.aisleseats said:
I have tickets for over 20 other (non-PJ) shows this year. It's been doing that for all my tickets at various times throughout the day. Other times, everything (including PJ) shows up the same as it always has. It's just a TM issue and has nothing to do with Pearl Jam. Sorry to disappoint.Vedd Hedd said:Yeah, this TM thing HAS to be some sort of good news here. Hoping for tomorrow.
That having been said, I too am hoping for tomorrow.
What does have me concerned is those showing the 9/22 date for Denver. Which, if accurate, would probably put the OKC show a couple days before that. I have really good seats for OKC. But I'll already be out in L.A. that week.
