They seemed surprised there was a curfew. I wonder what song(s) may have been left out.

They played everything on the handwritten set list, so unless there was time travel involved I don’t think they cut anything. I think they are just rushed a bit through the last two encore songs (and went a few minutes over anyway).

glad he's playing new songs.  wish the album had come out a week or so ago.  pricey tix to play for less than 2 hours. supply and demand i guess.

Andrew Watt was at the 2008 Pearl Jam Beacon show and somehow got to go backstage with his dad. They met Mike and Watt’s dad asked him to tell Andrew whether he should pursue a career as a musician or go to college. Mike told him to go to school so he’d have a fallback, which Eddie thought was very funny coming from McCready.

I don't mind playing most of the new album stuff. I do mind not having the album released before the shows so I could at least sing along. Gonna be kinda weird going to an Ed show and not knowing 5-6 of the songs.

Anyone know what time Glen came on for the opener?
Glen at 8, he did like 25 minute
Ed was supposed to come in at 9 but was 10 mins late
    11 curfew
Do you recall how many songs Glen performed during his opening set?

    Setlist.fm only listed 4 or 5 songs.

    Thanks!

Can anyone who attended share more details on Ed's intro to Brother The Cloud last night? Saw elsewhere that he explained more clearly who it was written about, and how that person's suicide affected him and others.

I was at Sunfest August 93. Very VS heavy show. and a festival with poor sound. Hard to make out most of the new songs.

Try sounds great! I'm guessing that's the song Stevie Wonder is on (and that Danny Clinch was filling in for him last night! 😁).
Which would be great. There's nothing like the sound of Stevie playing harmonica.

tdawe said: Especially since they were straight bar band covers. It would have been cool if they had a different arrangement or approach for some Pearl Jam tracks - especially some less-played ones - but I could have done without the straight up covers of common songs.
I'm with you on this. I'd like to see them interpret the Pearl Jam songs in their own way, rather than just try to be a poor man's PJ. Especially a song like Porch. There's so much space there to take it wherever they want.
Also... After 15 years, I think the time has finally come for a full live band version of Hard Sun... 🤞

OK, First timer seeing EV live.  First time seeing Glenn Hansard Live.

Hansard is a treasure.  He really is.

Met Danny Clinch outside the venue.  He appreciated my Peanuts mask and took a pic of it.  Maybe I'll make the portfolio?

Anywho, Hansard came on short and sweet.  He really is an entertainer.

On to the headliner!  EV and the Earthlings.  I loved the new songs.  They were good.  Much better than I had anticipated.  Could have done without the PJ songs believe it or not.  Was really hoping for Out of Sand.  That would have been great to hear live.

Highlights were The Dark, Power of Right and Brother the Cloud.  I really enjoyed them.

Hey EV, don't worry about the PJ songs, that isn't why I came, lol!

Besides the drunken idiots who left their flashlight on their phone the crowd was great.  Into it, stood the whole time.  Had a really good night.  Too bad I missed Dirty Frank the next night.  D'oh!
