this clip is still freaking me out. totally nailed. pino etc incredible.

I was listening that song just yesterday, I just love Pete’s solo music. That White City album is so good Face To Face etc. Here’s another I really love this song written by him and to me he actually does have great vocals…. A Friend Is Friend

The Hollywood Bowl show barely sold 20% of available tickets during the many on-sales/ pre-sales.

I think its time for them to finally hang it up!

Or rethink their ticket prices at least.

This ^^^.  I am interested in hitting the Philly show but the tickets in the 1st level were over $500 before fees.  I will be looking at secondary market.

I went for upper bowl, 91 plus fees, row 3. There were supposedly lower bowl tix at 91 dollars too, but I couldn't get them in my cart. The Philly Comcast site for buying tickets is really archaic - I couldn't see specific available seats, like on TM, I just got whatever they gave me in my cart for a given price range.

The Who are hardly alone in raising their ticket prices. Ed Ved was more expensive than the last time around. Wilco, another semi-big act I recently bought tickets for, are now an expensive ticket - firmly above the $100 average ticket price now. From this article in RS, it sounds like the insurance companies are, at least in big part, responsible for the hike in ticket prices.

Last time I saw The Who, 2019 at Phillies Stadium, we scored $25 upper deck tickets on Ticketmaster day of the show. yeah, it sucks being up there, but it sounded great actually, and was one of the more enjoyable shows I've been to. Really can't have a bad time seeing a big act like that for 25 bucks.

for sure if u can't afford to spend the big bucks then don't  :)
we're upper deck again for this tour and without a complaint. tickets are secured. no worries.
and i have the same story...last time i saw the who i also went upper deck and bought my ticket a week before the show...it was so under-priced i felt a little bad lol
prices will come down for shows that aren't selling well. it's the the game ticketbastard plays. all the time.

Saw them in 2007. Peter and Roger up front. And in the shadows in the back the drummer and bassplayer. Didn't feel like a band. Felt sadly cynical. But maybe I would have thought different if I was a huge fan. I don't think Roger Daltrey has much of an interesting singing voice and not much charisma.

    Well oh well

I wasn’t involved in the original ticket purchase. It must have been mail order as this type of ticket wasn’t the norm for local ticket outlets. Group of friends went and we had pairs here and there. I ended up pretty much middle main floor. It was a great fucking show and really the whole night in general. Had my hash confiscate on the way in, and came out to a broken window in my buddy’s car. Finally seeing the Who live was pretty much indescribable. No Keith Moon though, who we loved.  I think this was Kenney Jones first tour as drummer and he was fine. We knew we were seeing a new Who, a new start.  And we barely got there just before the start.

As a young man Live at Leeds was never far from the turntable. The Who’s cover of Young Man Blues from that show was a favorite and could never be played loud enough. When they performed it during the encore at our 1979 concert it was pure heaven.

Any way ended up completely sweating though my pants and wallet so that customized my ticket stub.

Checking around now it turns out to be a well known and respected performance.

Treat yourself, a performance of Young Man Blues from the Isle of Wight 1970. I think the opening riff is one of the best ever. Always makes me smile.
