Do any of you know if Pearl Jam will be playing one of the concerts for "Live Earth" come this July?
Since PJ's tour ends a week before Live Earth, I think its a good bet for at least a guest appearance....but at which venue??? I'll be at Giant's Stadium hoping they make a cameo.

I seriously doubt it! They never do that! They could have done the Live 8 but didnt! I dont know exactly how this Live Earth thing will work but I think that their emission will be huge: all the fans going/flying to the concerts, all the bands getting there, the lighting etc...I hope Al Gore has thought about that!

Eddie did make a guest appearance at the Tibetan Freedom Concert, and since PJ is actively involved with carbon international, I figured this might be something they'd want to be a part of.
I'm really not an expert in the area, but if I had to guess, I would think that the proceeds will by far outweigh the pollutants generated (carbon footprint) from the concerts.
Anyway, I'm just a big PJ fan hoping to see them next Saturday! :-D
the live earth concert thing's carbon footprint is supposed to be offset at each venue (paid by sponsors)
I have been wondering WHY pearl jam isn't slated to make an appearance. They were leaders in offsetting their carbon emissions and they have been very active regarding global warming.
weird that they either declined or were not invited...I hope that it wont just be Eddie Vedder as a special guest to someone else's set.
