Sad. Almost like he was always looking for a way to destroy himself. Stinks. Seems like a real good dude. Always super cool to his fans, very creative. I haven't paid much attention to what he's been going off about. Honestly none of this nonsense should intersect with his musical life. Anyway. Too bad all around.
anything to do with covid (anti-vaxx, anti-mask, anti-lockdown, etc). a little off the rails.
^ Sucks there won't be any new RDNM material in the future. :(
It does suck... I saw them both times they came through Boston, they were awesome.
We saw them on their first tour in Portland at the Doug Fir. Awesome little venue and got to meet them and they even signed my cd. It was fun just to shoot the shit with the 3 of them about music.
I ordered mine on 1/10... Everything went through, then the order was cancelled. '"Out of stock" message 4 days later. The same vinyl is currently listed as $22ish. Oh well... Congratulations to everyone who got one, and thanks for the heads up!
It was just in a cardboard mailer - no bubble wrap or other cushioning. But the record looks undamaged. There are no bends or creases in the cover. I haven't played the record yet, but it looks ok.

It totally sucks.
I would say that is 100% sure though - Richard has not been the least bit shy about his feelings on what Joseph has been doing and how he's gone way over the rainbow; I can't imagine that bridge isn't totally burned at this point.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

I just double checked the Amazon order to see if I missed it in the description… nope. Complete surprise.
Best $8.50 I ever spent.
Same here. What a great album. Spun it today again. I've missed the initial release because my kids were little. Now ISO of Acts if anybody has an extra.

Same.
Same as Glowgirl, standard cardboard mailer, but the gatefold appears to be in perfect shape (haven't unwrapped or played it yet)

Landed in Canada already? Great!
Still haven't opened mine... will report back later.
By the way, for anyone who's interested, here's an interesting L.A. Times article on Joseph Arthur from back in August.
