The only "guarantee" in life is death and taxes. Being vaccinated vastly increases your (general you) odds of avoiding serious health issues (hospitalization) and survival. However, co-morbidities and age and other factors play a roll. Can you link to a doctor or any other health professional that "guaranteed" life if vaccinated and boosted? Going on 3 years in and we're still having this debate?AW124797 said:

So you're trolling? And good for you, yay, you're vaccinated. I wish more people were like you so our hospitals wouldn't be on the verge of collapse. Do you have regrets? You have failed to see the difference though of the "why." You haven't posted any memes or twitter/instagram or obits or news articles to prove your point, that the cons don't celebrate the demise of the pro-vaxxed. Because you can't but you know they would be, if it was a "thing." There aren't examples of pro-mandate/vaxx/boosters who went all over the airwaves, social media to implore folks to get vaccinated/boosted and then died because they secretly didn't get vaxxed or they caught covid and died after being vaccinated. Its just another false equivalency. Do I celebrate the deaths of the anti-vaxxers? No. But do I have sympathy for them? No.AW124797 said:

I think what A-dub is saying is that when the vaccine effectiveness first was reported at up to 90%, yes, people were rejoicing. However, once we learned more about how the effectiveness wanes, but also can be thrown for a loop, depending on the next variant, so it was kind of a false hope that we were given. (however, we were given that hope since that was all that was known at the time)
I think he/she is speaking somewhat off the cuff about it, using adjectives that are absolute, when we should know they don't mean it literally.

what about us pointing out people dying a needless and preventable death is difficult to understand? these people actively work to shit on vaccines and masks, thus trying to get covid, then die a horrible, choking death. yes it is tragic and sad, but also preventable. which basically just makes me personally facepalm because they died needlessly and left their family members here to process it.nicknyr15 said:

I don't think the poster has heard interviews with, or read up on, the medical professionals who see, treat and deal with the unvaccinated patients who either beg them for the vaccine when being wheeled to ICU or lash out, spit and kick at them and cling to their anti-vaccination stance just before dying. Some of whom have burned out and quit as a result.HughFreakingDillon said:I don't see it as celebrating. I think he/she is speaking somewhat off the cuff about it, using adjectives that are absolute, when we should know they don't mean it literally.
correct me if I'm wrong, however.

I thought these were some good questions. I try to filter out fox/cnn bs daily. Which ones were so political?mrussel1 said:
You're watching and posting a political show. The questions he was asking were political. Yet you 'tune out' a response that involves politics. Got it.AW124797 said:
One year ago it was a life saver. That was the story. And I lost interest when you mentioned "political nature."mrussel1 said:
No, I don't. No doctor is going to "guarantee" life. Perhaps your misunderstanding is also why you completely misunderstood that Fox interview you posted. I replied with details. I think she did a great job focusing on what is core to the CDC's message and not stepping into political traps Brett Baier was setting. I appreciate actual professionalism.AW124797 said:
Most. I'm sure you get the point.mrussel1 said:
EVERY doctor was "guaranteeing life"?? Are you sure about this. Are you sure there's not just a touch of exaggeration in here?AW124797 said:
One year ago every doctor was guaranteeing life if you're vaxxed. Nobody was getting off when few of these doctors died.Gern Blansten said:
maybe if the boosted person was preaching to their constituents that being boosted would guarantee life and then they died it would be news...then you could celebrateAW124797 said:
Wait. No boosted person died from covid? And why would mainstream celebrate them? Sounds like a fantasy.Gern Blansten said:
you haven't seen them because those people don't exist....that's the point of getting vaccinated.AW124797 said:Gern Blansten said:
It's a clear obsession. Haven't seen celebratory posts regarding pro-mandate, double vaxxed and boosted people dying from covid.
I don't think anyone is obsessed with it....it's newsnicknyr15 said:
I was joking with that last comment. I see the distinction. I guess I don’t get the obsession with it.mrussel1 said:
Reading is kind of my thing.. but I can't read minds or the definition of "you". My discussion was about your lack of distinction between this person getting COVID (and dying) and AOC's COVID (and not dying).nicknyr15 said:
Wasn’t saying it’s your thing. But if that’s your thing than that’s cool too.mrussel1 said:
You received the information in the same way as me. I guess it's your thing too.nicknyr15 said:
Cool. If keeping track of people you don’t agree with dying is your thing then I guess, enjoy?mrussel1 said:
She attended anti-vax conferences. She worked hard to convince people NOT to get the vaccine. I think the distinction is pretty clear.nicknyr15 said:
Meh. AOC caught Covid and someone defensively noted that she’s one of millions that caught it. I’m just stating the same here.tempo_n_groove said:
They are worth noting.nicknyr15 said:
That’s amazing. According to Twitter these are the only types that die from Covid.Bentleyspop said:

I hope you have protected yourself.Post edited by AW124797 on0 -
Today, BC noted some Denmark studies that vaccinations even help lower omicrom transmissions. That is a new piece of the puzzle.
For protection against hospitalzation they stated 60-70% for double vaxxed (for up to six months) and 80-90% booster. No new restrictions in place this week. They are hoping that we are levelling off cases currently.I was swimming in the Great Barrier Reef
