    Unfortunately if it’s a so so crowd it affects him too. Saw him in Detroit at the Mason Temple. Home town show, he had family in the audience, you’d think he would bring his A game……..not more than 10 words to the crowd. He came out, played his show and left.
    Alabama shakes opened for him and was a better show.

    It is strange.. sometimes he is super chatty and other times he won't say a word.  He's a strange cat, for sure.  You want that nice middle ground where he's having fun but not over talking.

    I will also add though I thought his Lolla set a few years back was perfect. Excellent banter, great set list and he seemed to have a blast. It was great!

    I guess Winnipeg was lucky....he hit that sweet spot you mentioned here. he even posted a "post main set pre encore" pic to instagram to show how sweaty he was and how bloody his hands were from playing.

    The last time I saw him, he played a full set and then walked over to National's Stadium and watched the last few innings of a 14 inning game.
