    Live Drugs…👏

I can’t wait to see these guys live one day in the future. Last in Oz in 2018 Deeper Understanding tour. Maybe a 2022 sojourn Down Under to support the new record!?

What’s everyone’s favourite War on Drugs track!? As a more recent fan I’d probably go with something quite obvious but interested to hear what people think!?

Tough question.  Here’s a sampling of the stuff I routinely go back to (I tried to canvas all their releases; all of it is excellent!):

    Best Night (Slave Ambient)
    Come To The City (SA)
A Needle In Your Eye #16 (Wagonwheel Blues)
    Comin’ Through (Future Weather EP)
Lost In The Dream (Lost In The Dream)
Ocean In Between The Waves (LITD)
    Strangest Thing (A Deeper Understanding)***(5:06 mark…fuuuuuck)
    Nothing To Find (ADU)
    Thinking Of A Place (ADU)
You Don’t Have To Go (ADU)***(the last 2 min 30 sec of the song might be the best stuff they’ve done anywhere)
    Harmonia’s Dream (I Don’t Live Here Anymore)
    Occasional Rain (IDLHA)

Anyone watching the livestream this week?  Sort of a cool concept if it works out.  Play a show, stream it live and sell tickets.  I would watch SO many shows.  I watched a ton of the Stones tour from peoples' Facebook Live streams.  Imagine if those were sold as tickets to watch live from your home?  Damn.  Great concept.

How good is Live Drugs!? Just awesome!! Put off listening to this until I became more familiar with their catalogue especially LiaD. Like with Lo2L I wish this had been a double release!

I was thinking of picking up a ticket to one of the shows soon. I know one of them is sold out though. Probably can find a cheapo one on stubhub closer to the show.

No support acts and Canada is cancelled - replaced with Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Otherwise they are good to go.

    Beer sales tank… Nah!

Went to Drive by Truckers at the Palace Theater. Proof of vax and mask requirement. The masks pretty much went out the window once people got inside and started buying beers. No shortage of booze being consumed, at least that night.

Could be,  not sure when that show was, but there is now a mask mandate, and omicron has changed the conversation some.  Dayna Frank’s entire business depends on people coming to shows and that means clubs not getting shut down. I gotta think she wouldn’t be messing with a mask mandate. If the Minnesota Wild have to do it, I gotta think other events are going to fall in line too.
