    Is $500 really a lot for cookwear these days?  I don't think so.  I mean, even a simple but well made sauce pan can run $50 to $75.  And to be honest, I don't want my Vice President to be eating food cooked in some cheap-ass aluminum or toxic- Teflon cookware.
