Is it the green against the black you don't like?

First poster hung in my first house! Framed at Michael's hanging above a staircase. Once I got it home I realized it wasn't going to be easy to get it on the wall. Good old Youtube with the painter's hacks. Search sketchy ladder tricks!!
    Things were different then

Want to get one of these framed next with double matting, but not sure what colors to use. If anyone has either of these framed I would be interested in seeing a picture for inspiration!

Just picked these up from the shop... gave my framer artistic license w/ the frame & mattes on the APC Red Rocks. I think my faith was well rewarded.

that might be the best frame and mat job I’ve ever seen! :triumph:

I hear ya. Not my favorite either, but it was our 1st Eddie solo show. So, I knew we'd grab that one no matter what. The bus is the standout of all of the Ohana posters, in my opinion. The Pettibon's have grown on me over time.

They've grown on me, but I'm glad I was at Encore! My wife, who probably thinks I am crazy with this obsession, says she likes them. Not sure what that means!

I think the ocean/wave/surfer part is really pretty good.  Not every poster has to be a pop culture reference or skulls.  The scribble font is an interesting choice but as a whole I’m not getting the hate for this one.  If I had to list the top 100 worst PJ posters this one wouldn’t be anywhere near making the list.  I like the white frame choice too.  Definitely works with the coastal beach theme.  👍🏻

I know I’ve asked before but shops turn over - any Manhattan framer recommendations? I think we paid close to $300 for that last one and that’s just too much. I think they increased me $100 post pandemic.

I usually go to Excel Art and Framing. It’s on 3rd Ave. between 11th and 12th Streets. They are a bit pricey as well but may be less than what you are paying now. They do a great job though.

My framer picked out the colors. Putting the pink inside of the purple was my idea, to match the way the colors come out of the headdress, but he probably would have done that anyway. The guy's good.

From an aesthetic standpoint, this is far from my favorite PJ poster, but the mattes & frame really bring it to life.
