    YES

    it's our backyard show!!!!!!!

its going to be fuckin nuts

and smartass, just a couple of shows? how about 5?!

or fuck it, wait til next summer and do 2 shows at Jones Beach and then 3 shows at MSG :D:D

What people don't realize is that New York really hasn't gotten a show yet except for the letterman thing and irving....people say ER was a ny show, but it wasn't at all....something happens when you travel the 10 miles to MSG, i dont know what but everything changes....if ER was a NY show why didn't we have a MSG-like thing going on? ER2 was magical, especially the crowd...but still not up there with MSG

Is it possible to have an exclusive 10C show at the Garden? Say give a one week window for all 10C'ers to buy tickets then open the remaining tickets to the public.

Or is it impossible becuause of sponsorships and ticketing rights that businesses (Ticketmaster, Season ticket holders etc) have for The Garden??

Saw both shows in 98 and 03 at MSG...There is no place like it in the World. A New Years Eve show would be amazing. Anybody know if it's booked yet?

    See that's the problem

Ticketbastard came out with a new rule in 2004 saying that all fan clubs can only sell up to 10% of what the venue holds. So since MSG holds 20,000 people, they can only sell 2,000 10c tickets which would SUCK. But I think PJ would work around that some how.

For the Rangers on NYE, I don't know. They were supposed to play the Islanders at Yankee Stadium on Jan 1st so if that doesn't work out they may play at either MSG or Nassau.

You really think they'd skip Boston?

Not that it matters to me if they play 3 MSG shows!!! :D

MSG on NYE would be so fucking nuts. I mean, if I didn't get tickets to that I don't know what. Can't think about that. I could really use a good PJ fix right about now... Uch stupid work... Wish I could go to Europe/Australia...Haven't seen a show since Camden II and already its been too long... Ah well... Hopefully the South will get some shows, they deserve it... By the way, there is a rumor going around that PJ will play with Buckcherry in the fall... Maybe some MSG love there ;)

I gotta tell you. I kind of hope they dont do MSG on NYE cause that means just ONE show...I want THREE :D but I guess 1 is better than none.

I think they would skip boston honestly. I don't think they are going to wanna take the 3 hour trip to boston and then back to MSG cause they HAVE TO END IT AT MSG

Doing NYE doesn't mean only one show. It could be like two shows then NYE. Now that would be hot!!!

    this is my humble opinion...

there is a reason that the band didn't play msg this time around.

i think that msg was/is looking to take a % of ticket sales from acts playing there, which is why only big ticket acts like madonna, U2 and other high priced acts play there - because they can afford it and don't care about the ticket prices for the fans. and being from nyc, and knowing how the Dolan family (which owns MSG, Cablevision, the Knicks and the Rangers) this is pretty much how they work. the band chose to play the meadowlands because they didn't have to raise their ticket prices to play the venue, something that would have had to do if they were to play MSG.

most venues (from what i undestand) don't touch the band's ticket revenue, but they keep the concessions and whatever they charge to let the band play there.

take my ramblings for what you want, but i think it makes sense. they have always blowup the garden - why stop now with the way they have been playing? going forward, keep an eye on ticket prices for acts playing there...see if you can get a flat ticket price for the whole venue.

Majority of the venues charge a price to rent out the place, regardless who you are, whether your a Circus or Springsteen or Pearl Jam. I don't think that's the case they skipped MSG. I mean in 2003 majority of the tickets were $45 each and some were even $35. And trust me they still came out with a nice profit.

I think the reason they skipped MSG the first leg was because of a variety of things.
    A) they did those "secret" shows in NY
    B) if you notice they don't do the same venue back to back....96: randalls island...98: rutherford/msg...2000: jones beach...2003: uniondale/msg....2006: rutherford
    C) they may be planning something special for MSG, I can't see them skipping it after the amazing time they had in 03, and they released a darn DVD of it

i honestly dont think the NYE thing is happening...i think after Aussie they are going to rest a few months and come back and do a leg similar to what i posted around middle of march....if thats the case they may end in NY around may/june assuming they take a 2 week break in the middle of the leg...and then they could do 2 nights at jones beach as well as 3 nights at msg
