I see loads of people mentioning a Gorge show as completely amazing and like THE show in the past few years. Which Gorge show are we talking about here?

I beleive the first night gets the most rave...but if you ask me they're over rated. Just look for a setlist you like the most & pick that way. There aren't many bad choices.

if you want a Gorge show get the '05 one, while the sound quality isn't the best (at least compared to more recent boots) the setlist is pretty amazing.

if you are easily swayed i'd say get one of the west coast shows, most of them are amazing.

I'd say the Santa Barbra its my personal favourite of this tour (apart from Dublin of course) or the San diego both of them are great shows with awesome sound quality

I know all about the West Coast '06 shows. I am asking about the Gorge. Since I left the NW to live in Germany for a year, Pearl Jam promptly played in the Gorge three times. *grumble* Anyway I know one of the shows gets a lot of buzz and reaction from the fans, so I want to check that one out.

'05 is "the" one you're hearing about. Too bad you moved from the NW. Nice to see someone who's been to some Portland shows. Too bad you also missed the one at the Schnitzer.

The 2005 one had an acoustic set before the actual show, much like Boston 3 in 2003. It was fucking long and they played lotsa rare stuff, that's why everyone loves it. And the other ones are great too. Hot damn, next time they play the Gorge I'm getting tickets and flying out there!

yeah Gorge 05 is cool cause it has an accoustic set, but Ed did flub some lyrics most likely just joking around and being Ed. I REALLY like Gorge 06 though. The Tom Petty cover did not make Gorge 05, but it made Gorge 06 the 2nd night I think, I'll have to look. I say get Gorge 2006 night 1 awesome show!

Strilo, has to be Gorge 05 because of the rarities and the opening soft set which is very good IMHO. Eddie does flub Off He Goes but the set is appropriate for the setting and the mood of the crowd because of Hurricane Katrina worries. The main set opening part has your Sad and Alone plus many references and calls out to Tom Petty who was playing the next night. My two sons and I really enjoyed 2005 Gorge. I went to night two this year and didn't have as good a time because of the heat (hotter than a festered teet) and the security srewups but good nonetheless great setlist Enjoy
