It was kind of like the Cubs in general. Started off strong, hit a strong stall in the middle, recovered well enough---but not enough to make up for the fuck up in the middle.

It was actually a pretty neat little song. I couldn't bring myself to sing it though---World Series Champion fans don't sing songs for the Cubs.

    World Series Champions?
    You a Cardinals fan?

I hope you aren't a Sox fan still clinging onto the win a couple years ago. :p

If that's the case, the Cubs are still World Series Champions from a looooong time ago.

Yeah, I'm a Redbird fan. The NL Central would be very interesting had we had Carpenter and Mulder all season---oh well, injuries are part of the game and I wish Kerry Wood would have hurt himself last night when he thought it was a good idea to booze in the VIP section and stradle the rail over the balcony. It wasn't really a mess-up. He just forgot the 2nd verse, joked to the crowd about not remembering the words, but he remembered that it sounded good.

Then after a little pause, Ed gained recollection, said "Ahh", and launched into the 2nd verse.

    Very cool.

So at what point can you no longer throw out the term "World Series Champs"?

I guess the way I see it is if you won the last one you can still use that term.

    hahahaha i love sox fans.

cardinals fans can talk shit. even though i hate them i can still see why people would be fans. but why would you ever be a sox fan? doesn't make since.
