    I'm wondering if he tried to cover his tracks by texting her after he killed her.

    If he tries to say that he left her behind because she wouldn't respond and then uses the "someone else must have killed her, look at all the people that have disappeared in that area over the years" defense.

    The couple that gave him a ride provided some critical info on what he was doing without her. He clearly left her and the van behind for several hours at least.

    yeah, same scenario as that guy who killed his wife in the middle of the night and "found" her cellphone with the text messages he had sent her after the murder.

    Theres a few other things to contemplate.  Did the parents lie about where he went.... Ie making law enforcement look in the wrong place.

    The other thing is Wyoming has the Death Penalty?  If you were guilty and felt it would be pretty easy ro prove it, wouldnt you go out on the lam?  Might even drive parents to lie.  Jail is one thing... But death penalty is another.

    I did read today that the parents took his car home from the park because it had a tow notice on it. If that is true I guess that makes sense.

    Plus, neighbors had said they saw him mowing the yard and riding his bike on the street at some time prior to Gabby's parents filing the missing person report.

    this story sucks.

    what also sucks is the fact that so many young people want to be influencers of some sort. there are too many of them already. we can't all be famous. unfortunately she ended up famous for the most incredibly sad reason. the irony is the other people that follow influencers got this story into the national headlines, so that is a good thing.

    i hope they find this guy, but i have a feeling that he may have suicided. i do not think a young kid like that can last too long on the lam and he has to know everyone is looking for him.

    If I’m not on social media, do I exist? The next generation of “look at me’ers,” influencers. We already have the tats, piercers, glow lights, boom boom car stereos, and loud mufflers and revved bikes. What’ll be next?

    i am weird in the sense that i am immune to commercials and influencers. if i feel someone or something pushing a product on me, i don't buy it.

    i have a friend who is actually a van life influencer. spent some time with her in NJ and philly in june. she is not making a lot of money doing it. she had a trust fund so doesn't really need to kill herself working all the time. she just goes wherever she wants, gets photos and videos taken and talks about products she uses. not really my thing, but i respect the hustle.

    Can you imagine Amway people on facebook?  Beachbody and all of these fucking "life coaches" are bad enough.

    I do a lot of income tax returns and it blows me away at how many housewives end up buying into that shit.  They all make a bit of money initially while they are signing up their friends and family and then, after the first subscription runs out, the customers start to drop off and they quit. Fucking pyramids.

    But this got attention 44 years later...that was my main point.  A lot of cases don't get attention because there are too many unknowns.  In Gabby's case the boyfriend's behavior makes it news.
