This has me holding out on booking my travel to Ohana, cause if they’re “regular” indoor arena headlining shows in Seattle…I’d rather do that and rage. Would be great if it was the weekend after Ohana encore…just stay on the west coast an extra week. But the “no additional shows” was pretty blunt…not doubting vedpunk, sources are sources

I am curious why there was no hint for California but there was one for Seattle...
Maybe his info came from a leak at the Seattle arena and not from someone associated with the band itself? Makes sense anyhow.

I've got a room booked for ohana encore but will most likely cancel it if Seattle does happen. Rather do Seattle as well. Guess we'll just have to wait and see for now.

I'm VERY surprised the Ohana Encore has not sold out.  Was hoping we get the Seattle announcement this week, but probably not.  Maybe at the end of August for Ten's anniversary.

I wish it true but there is NO way the 10club would have said “this marks the only additional shows for 2021” if they didn’t mean it

I’ll buy a Seattle rumor anytime after January 1, 2022, but 10c could not have been clearer in their email

You are absolutely right, but I’ve come to realize that this isn’t the “No Additional Shows For 2021” thread. Folks’ll be up in here, parsing interview snippets and half-baked rumors, until the ball drops on New Years’ Eve.

And more power to ‘em. A week ago I thought it was crazy to believe that the “Ohana Encore” posts were foreshadowing two additional PJ shows.

This. It’s fun to be excited about the possibility of shows again after the last year.  👍🏻

They aren’t additional shows if they have been booked. I read the 10C comment as the exact opposite. They could’ve easily said no more shows in 2021. Period. They specifically said no “additional” shows. Why have the word additional? To me that means others have been booked, just not announced.

Then why say anything at all? They could have 15 dates booked then but if they aren’t announced yet then the statement of no additional shows still applies? It’s totally misleading if any other shows are announced for this year.

Additional, as in in addition to the September 18 SHN and September 26 Ohana.  Pretty simple IMO.

I don’t disagree but based on not knowing when shows can get played or even if they can when they were booked, I could see that applying this year.

vedpunk has been very spot on in the past so if he says book travel a week after Ohana was announced, my Seattle hotels are booked. Nothing to lose.

Exactly. Someone said this statement will be analyzed until the ball drops on 12/31.

No additional shows. What you see is what you get. What is so hard to understand?

I think it's entirely safe to say that VedPunk is not just on here blowing smoke up peoples' asses.  He's been right before and his source seems to be legit. Either his source is being burned (or burning him), the band says "oops, just kidding", or these shows are happening in January/Feb.

But if it turns out there are shows in Seatttle or anywhere else this year, any fans in those areas who already booked Ohana tix/travel have every right to be a bit annoyed.

I can only report what I’ve heard from reliable sources but I can’t control last minute changes due to safety concerns (COVID), contract issues, external factors or other reasons plans change.  If your risk tolerance is low, then just go to the shows that are definitely confirmed.

Vedpunk knows his stuff.  I have no doubt ACL was on the table this year and changed last minute.  As for Seattle, the Ohana Encore announcement seemed pretty definitive for the year.  I’m guessing they had Seattle penciled in but the uncertainty with indoor events changed their plans.

PJ has actually been pretty good the last 15 years or so about announcing whether or not there will be more shows.  I remember in 2006 people were supper annoyed when they announced east coast, then a few weeks later announced the LA shows, and a few weeks after they announced the remaining west coast dates.  From memory:

2007 - announced Lollapalooza as the only US date, added Vic Theatre two weeks or so before the show.
2009 - people were again really upset when they announced those four Europe shows, then Toronto and Chicago, then Chicago 2.  At some point around the Toronto/Chicago ticket sale they announced it was their intention to play west coast shows in the fall.
2011 - announced PJ20 as the only US shows.
2012 - announced Missoula as PJs only headlining non festival show.
2013 - announced Voodoo Fest as part of a tour that would be announced later.
2015 - announced Global Citizen as the only US date of the year.

The years not listed above, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, all had shows announced in the first six months of the year so announcements about their plans for the year weren’t really warranted.
Based on this track record it seems Ohana Encore is it for 2021.
