Someone was actually selling this custom frame on FB marketplace which has UV glass. I got it for $40. It overlaps a bit more than I might like but for that price I am not sure I care.

Nice score!  Maybe if you bring it to a frame shop they can cut the Matt to size?  Cool poster👍
I might look into that. It would be about half an inch on each side. Maybe I will make some calls or send some emails to some local shops. Although I am also pretty happy with how it looks so it might not happen anytime soon.

Finally got this framed. My first Pearl Jam show. The framers did well, it had been in a poster tube since 2012.

Nice^^^. A lot of cool stuff in that poster. It's Soto only? reminds me of Tara McPherson's style too.

I just went to Michael’s with 2 posters to take advantage of their 70% off sale and their pricing has gone up significantly from what I’ve paid in the past, even with the sale (~50%). I know Art to Frame and American Frame have been recommended here.  My question is, how do the prints mount in these frames? I obviously don’t want to dry mount.  Might be a dumb question, but I’ve only used Michael’s for my frame jobs so this is new territory.
I use American Frame for all my frames and use these mounting strips to secure the print. No adhesive touches the poster. Pretty foolproof and uncomplicated.

Just received my shipment from American Frame with the two frames I ordered.  These mounting strips are necessary, right?  Dumb question, I'm sure, but these are the first two I'm doing myself.  I'm going to order these today and hopefully receive tomorrow.  Can't wait to get the prints in there.
Are they necessary? I have a few frames I assembled myself (including the 2011 Ottawa which is big) and just the pressure of the little metal clips pushing on the backing board is enough to hold the print between the backing and the mat.

Was the wife's birthday yesterday, and had a bit of time and a hair up my ass, so I finally got around to framing her, "Wino," print (Santa Barbara, 2003)!  Tried to get it as close to the proportions of the "Ohana Bottle" print that I framed up a while back, as I managed to find another of the exact same frame!

Pretty happy with it!!  Wish the red mat had been a little more orange, but can't be too picky when it was available off the shelf at Michaels.  I may change it out in the future.. but really happy with how these two frame up our TV wall.   =)

Send it to me.   ;)  =)   That's my grail!

But, if you MUST keep it on the cheap.. do you have an, "At Home" store near you?

Anyway, there is a $50 framed art piece there that is 21"x41", and would work pretty perfectly for those dimensions!  You could even have a local framer cut a mat for you, if you wanted, to keep it cheaper.  I mocked it up roughly with a light gray mat, and I dig it.

Mocked it up with a gray mat.  Now I'm even more jealous!

Is that actually glass, or is it plastic?  That's a good price for that size.

Pretty sure it's glass, but I didn't haul it down to check (it was up on the top top).

Most of the $50+ frames were glass, so I'd assume that it is..

I had a Mariano Rivera Jersey framed.  They used a low adhesive, non acid tape to position the Jersey against the matte. It  held up for over 15 years.  When I sold it a couple years ago I removed it from the frame and there was no staining or anything.

I’m definitely no professional but pins sound a little sketchy.  I’ve framed plenty of posters myself but I had the jersey done professionally.   I’m sure someone at your local shop will know the best way to mount it without damaging it.  Post a pic when you get it finished!
